Alyssa turned, looking at whoever had spoken, thinking that they were probably a skilled swordsman from the way they spoke. She was looking for a skilled swordsman; somebody that maybe could take her on as a pupil, for she only wished she could do more than draw circles.

 • He who was there, was not man nor machine, but a relic of an era long forgotten. The figure bore a tiger-striped cloak atop an extremely well built body, though it was concealed by the frame of what appeared to be an exoskeleton suit beneath it. He had a variety of weapons on his back including a sniper, assault rifle, and three hilts for weapons on him, though the most distinct feature he possessed was the completely orange mask he bore, which had one black dot where the eye would normally be, and a red dot on the right eye of his. This was Treyman. "Yeah, you a bladesman?"

 • "I'm training to be one," Alyssa replied, looking Treyman over. To her, Treyman looked like a walking armory, loaded to the brim with weaponry Alyssa only dreamed of affording. She absentmindedly rubbed her light, olive skin, admittedly a little weirded out by his radical appearance; she'd never before seen an exoskeleton, neither has she seen a mask like the one Treyman bore.

 • The figure grinned a tad bit as he saw that the woman was a tiny bit weirded out by his appearance, as that showed the telltale signs of her being an average human being who reacts logically to things, unlike a majority of people the Damned General had met. And so he grasped one of the two black hilts at his side as the silver shoto hilt for a lightsaber in the middle was left with just one more hilt for a weapon that matched the one he held, and he activated it, though a light yellow blade of hard light appeared from the hilt this time instead. He tossed it to the floor in front of the woman, and her grasped his own HardLight sword in his hand, for he did not dare to bust out his AntiMatter Katana. "Let's spar, oh training one."

 • Alyssa gulped, grasping the HardLight blade, feeling it and lifting it, seeing how much it weighed. She was able to tell that Treyman would beat her in seconds; milliseconds, even. She, unlike many, knew her skill level; jack shit. However that was why she was training, to get better. To be able to fend for herself, to he able to annihilate those that would harm her and those she cared for. She pulled her left foot back behind and to the left of her right, grasping the HardLight blade with her non dominant hand, her left hand, while she lifted the stump of her right hand in front of her, between she and Treyman. She took a deep breath, and nodded at the man, giving him the first move. A mistake she recognized the moment she made it.

 •
Let's just assume this is after augmenting Alyssa, as it would be easier for training's sake.
One swift dash was all it took for the man of skill to get close. He dashed forwards as he closed the gap between either of the combatants all the while he activated the blade, and he placed it just up against the throat of the woman. He stopped though, for he didn't intend to decapitate.

 • Alyssa stood, wide-eyed, as suddenly a sleek, gunmetal gray prosthetic arm appeared on her right arm from -blam!-ing nowhere. She raised her hands surrender, gulping.

 • "Kid," started Treyman, who was actually only twenty seven NTY (New Terran Years - Earth Years) and as such he was quite hypocritical with her, though she did look fifteen in truth. The arm though, he didn't even flinch at. And so when he spoke, he felt as if the thoughts he had were wrong and she was not destined for combat, rather she was going to need heavy training. Treyman pulled the blade away and got into a relaxed stance. "Follow my chest when I go to slash or stab, you'll be able to tell where I'm bringing that arm, no matter what."

 • Alyssa gulped, reading Treyman's body language; she saw that she'd disappointed the man/machine in some way, and inwardly beat herself up forward—a thing she did a lot. She nodded at his words of advice, her near photographic memory noting it. She backed away, ready for another go, gripping the hardlight blade tightly with two hands this time. She took a deep breath, shifting her stance to the most balanced.

 • Treyman backpedaled and got himself into a ready stance where his left leg was leading and the blade was in his right, because that was his preferred combat style. Typically he would open with a twirling slash but for now, he kept it simple. Stepping forward with his right leg, he slashed on his right side, which would be Alyssa's left.

 • Alyssa gulped, turning her hips slightly to the left as she swung her prosthetic arm, slamming her metallic, New Magnesium fist right into the blade of the sword, hoping that the strong metal would hold. She was holding the HardLight blade Treyman gave her in her left hand, getting ready to do what looked like a counterclockwise twirl and aim a slash at Treyman's left side.

 • Treyman's blade stopped just as the fist collided with it due to the general not wanting to cut into her arm, because HardLight was one of the thinnest and sharpest materials that he could physically get his hands on, so he spun with the fist's impact and turned, where he went to slash at Alyssa's neck. It was obvious what he was doing if she were to follow his torso.

 • Alyssa dropped her legs and body so the blade would pass just over Alyssa's head, only barely missing her. In her low and advantageous position, she aimed a hard punch at Treyman's abdomen; the one combat-related thing she could do well, a nice, hard punch. However she was quite open to any attack with the HardLight blade, if Treyman avoided the punch.

 • Her fist managed to collide with the armour he bore beneath the cloak as the ceramic and steel alloy plates managed to disperse the hit's impact, and the cowboy swiped low and fast. Just before hitting the left side of Alyssa's neck, he stopped dead in his tracks. "Any moves to make here?"

 • Alyssa stopped dead in her tracks, realizing her mistake; in an actually fight, she would've been decapitated, and she knew that she was lucky that Treyman wasn't out for her head. Her brain whirred, trying to think of options she had to get of this situation had it been a real scenario on the battlefield. Coming up with none, she simply sighed, backing away and standing up straight, accepting defeat, yet ready to go again, this time actually with the sword.

 • "You could've jumped back and batted my blade away, kid." Treyman took a step back and spun his blade in a circular motion to either side of his frame. The kid was a fairly quick learner from what he observed but she wasn't exactly agile, so she might need a loaner armour set until she manages one of her own.

 • Looking at Alyssa, it was clear that she wasn't the tanky, strong build, rather a slender body built for speed and agility; and indeed, Alyssa could run and was decently agile, although in combat, under pressure, using her speed wasn't an instinct.

 • Treyman thought that the agile fighters were common but finding one like him, a truly agile combatant, was quite rare indeed. And so the Omega dashed forwards with a jump as he slashed downwards, sending the hard light sword to the other organic shoulder of the woman, just slow enough to be blocked but fast enough that it would be hard.

 • At that moment, Alyssa, watching the sword slice downwards vertically towards her, recognize the move from some book she read or some video she watched on swordsmanship; it did interest her for a while, after all. She imitated perfectly what she saw the professionals do to counter it, lifting the sword upwards as her elbows bent at a ninety degree angle, the blade's grip above Alyssa's right shoulder, held tightly by both hands. The tip of the blade was pointed towards Treyman's face, Treyman's blade heading right towards the edge of Alyssa's that was facing up. As his HardLight blade collided with hers, she allowed her hands and arms to relax, redirecting the slash toward's Alyssa's lower right, the tip of Treyman's blade headed towards the ground. As it did so, Alyssa raised the blade once more, taking a step forward with her right leg as she thrust with the HardLight sword, the tip of the blade heading towards Treyman's chest; a perfectly executed parry on Alyssa's part, showing some kind of hidden talent that Alyssa never knew she had, however talent got you nowhere; Alyssa's abdomen and sides were wide open.

 • Treyman was at a major disadvantage when it came to HardLight weaponry. While his body armour was made of it, if it managed to pierce through the AntiMatter blood wouldn't be able to disintegrate it like he could with most conventional weapons like steel, due to how fast it regenerated. When it pierced, the occasional droplet of his blood wiped a pocket of dirt from existence before the armour patched it up, and Treyman went to bash his forehead into Alyssa's.

 •
That really confused me, but I'm gonna roll with it.
Treyman's head struck Alyssa's, and she stumbled back, clutching her forehead, gritting her teeth in pain. "Ow... god... your skull's like a rock," She grunted, trying to ignore the pain as she lowered her stance into one that would allow her to accelerate to top speed in milliseconds, ready to dodge any attack Treyman through at her.

 • "How old are you, kid? You look fifteen but when I cross reference you with a database, it comes up as twenty three." Treyman stepped back as he grinned to himself beneath the helm, because the next move he pulled was a kind of dickish one. He sprinted towards the woman and slashed right, though he deactivated the blade and spun around, before reigniting the HardLight and thrusting for Alyssa's torso.

 • Alyssa, stunned by the sudden change, only barely sidestepped, the HardLight blade cutting through the sleeve of her shirt. She took a step forward, thrusting with her own HardLight sword.

 • The Omega backpedaled just enough that he could be within blocking distance, and so he slashed the woman's blade away to the side as he got back into a ready stance, where he decided to give one more assault before he was to end the spar.

 • Alyssa jumped back as Treyman entered his ready stance, lowering herself into a better position for speed. She examined his stance, trying to find any weak spots; years of learning in almost every subject there was taught her to do this. Finally, she lunged forward, aiming a low yet quick sweep with the HardLight blade at Treyman's legs, holding the sword tightly in to hands, however if she was quick enough she could lift her prosthetic and extend her hidden blade directly at Treyman's abdomen.

 • Treyman saw her skill and was actually quite surprised, as he was hard pressed against her hits and had no choice but to backpedal further, and grab a second HardLight blade from... Well, he digistructed it. And so he stepped forwards after the sword had slashed and he went to lunge one blade into her torso as the left blade was on the defensive.
