That's a very short window for the kind of project they were going for initially and of course activision was breathing down their necks, that kinda stuff sucks.

It took them 7 years to make the previous game and then they said no. I don't know how it could possibly be so bad that they deciding reworking the entire game with a year to go. Honestly, for that small amount of time, BUNGIE did pretty well. Good luck to anyone making a game in one year with Activision. I really hate them.

Activision wanted milk-able material. There is a possibility they may even do that with Destiny 2 if they don't find potential to draw money out of the content Bungie wants to release with the game.

No kidding, they're getting to EA levels of bullshit. Given the time I bet Destiny could have been crazy mindblowingly awesome.

That's why I have good hopes for Destiny 2. Like, 99% of the team went to that with about 10 or so people to hang back to work on this game. People really don't like praising BUNGIE but they're doing just fine. More is always better but something is better than nothing.
