Evil bitch time.
Within the courtyard stood a six foot three inch tall woman, who from the looks of it, was firing at a set of humanoid targets and practicing just how well her aim truly was. The woman seemed athletically thin, her face strikingly pale, almost vampiric. Her cheekbones were high, yet somewhat shallow, while her chin was sharp, yet it wasn't pointed. The woman's exquisitely platinum blonde hair was tied back in a long ponytail behind her, while a black leather tricorne hat sat upon her head, a pure why'd pigeon feather dimly protruding from the back. Cold, crystal blue irises were present within the woman's eyes, each aiming towards one of the targets as she raised a gloved hand, the gauntlet tightened by metal buttons. The right arm that she raised held a stylish flintlock pistol, and the woman simply pulled the trigger as a loud *BOOM!* sounded suddenly, although no smoke was caused by the pistol firing. The .44 Magnum sized round ball slammed into the target's center, right in the middle, ripping through straw with relative ease. The pale woman grinned at the sight of the shot tearing through her intended target, evident as she reloaded her pistol and holstered it at her side, beside her tight belt that wrapped around her dark leather long coat, with a bloodstained shirt with a little handkerchief thingy protruding from the neckpiece. She had style, it seemed. The pants she wore were brown leggings, her boots covered in mud and laced up rather tightly. A stylish cape fluttered from a slight shoulder pad on her left elbow, although it had gone completely still for a moment. Hanging at the woman's side was a sheath to a particularly large sword, the blade hidden away by the sheath itself, though the grip protruding out of it. Protruding out of the grip itself was a serrated knife-like dagger, and it seemed to be stuck onto the grip of the weapon that was at her side. The woman turned to face Alyssa, and for a moment, she showed a look of interest, almost curiosity-before immediately flashing a grin at the young mage and waving at her with her gloved hand.

  • Alyssa waved back, unfazed by the woman's admittedly worrying appearance. She grinned, running over to the one that would end up ruining her forever. "Hi! How are ya?" She said, jamming the tip of the sword into the terrain of the courtyard.

Eh, I mean... Yeah, Irina's ruining her. The woman didn't reply back, although she did bow towards Alyssa deeply. After rising up, she performed several motions, the first displaying speaking with her hands, and then shaking her head. In short...she seemed to have been mute.

  • "Oh...." Alyssa shuddered at the thought of not being able to speak, then shrugged. "Well, it's okay! I'm sure plenty will understand you, even if you can't speak." She smiled warmly at Irina, her green eyes full of kindness and trust.

The huntress only nodded towards Alyssa, and while her light blue eyes were apparently filled with kindness, honor and happiness...Irina's true intentions were not, and the writer known as "Orn" would probably feel like shit after doing this. Irina thought about how she would be able to tell the girl in front of her the name that had been bestowed upon her at birth, as...well, Irina couldn't speak at all, and she didn't have any items to write with at the moment.

  • "Hey, I know!" Alyssa said, grinning kindly at Irina as she rubbed her palms together. She gripped the sword tightly, concentrated, and with a loud "pop", it transmuted via alchemy into a pile of papers and a pen. Alyssa handed it to Irina, only wishing to help her. "There! D'you need a clipboard, madam?"

Only taking the papers and the pen with her gloved hands, Irina wasn't surprised. A poor, delicate mind like Alyssa's wasn't going to make it too far in the world. She would change that. Although right now, the writer is weeping. She simply nodded her head, smiling towards Alyssa silently. She wanted to make her introduction...slightly formal.

  • "Is that nod for a clipboard, madam?" Alyssa asked politely. Two transmutations in a row was something her teachers had taught her to never to do, however if she was helping a disabled person, Alyssa didn't particularly care for the possible repercussions.

For a moment, Irina thought about it, before simply leaning down to the barren ground and beginning to write out her name. If only she knew of why Alyssa was doing this...she'd laugh if she could. After a moment, she rose back up, handing the paper right back to Alyssa. It read... Thank you, truly. I am Irina. It is a pleasure to meet you. Care for some practice? As in sword fighting, sharpshooting, or perhaps simply combat? I'm a little rusty myself. :) Irina drew a small smiley face at the end, seeking to be...more friendly.

  • Alyssa giggled at the smiley face, looking over at Irina. "I'm Alyssa. And training sounds wonderful! Swordplay, is what it want to be trained in," She added, genuinely hoping Irina could teach her a little. "If you'd kindly teach me, madam Irina?"

Irina simply nodded, beginning to walk towards the other side of the courtyard. As she walked away, she smirked a little, where Alyssa couldn't see her. She didn't know that the girl was THAT nice. As she was about eight feet away, Irina spun around and looked at Alyssa, before drawing the blade at her side from its holster. The shining blade that protruded from the decorated copper grip was sharpened and gleaming, similar to a katana although completely straight. The weapon and grip was about 5'8 feet long, while the dagger protruding from the handle was 16 inches long. Irina grabbed onto the grip with both hands, and with a loud clang of metal, tore the dagger from the handle of the sword. She held both blades at her side, setting her right foot out and her left foot behind her. She was ready for combat.

  • Alyssa's eyes widened at the five eight sword, picking up a thin, three foot one from the ground. Irina's sword was nearly double the length of Alyssa's, and she wondered how one was supposed to get any sort of training done like this; the weight of their blades would make it ridiculously hard for Alyssa to block attacks, her intelligent, analytical mind easily deducting that. In addition to that she only had one hand, her non dominant one. She readied herself, giving Irina the first move.

For a moment, Irina seemed confused about why Alyssa provided her, the one with two weapons, both arms, and more experience to go first. She definitely had to change this through training. Irina immediately sprinted towards the mage, raising both blades to her right side as she lunged towards Alyssa.

  • "Aaaah!!" Alyssa shrieked, cringing back as she lifted the weak sword to her left in protection, shutting her eyes tightly and holding the stump of her right arm in front of her, gritting her teeth for the impact. ((#ProSwordSkills))

Immediately, Irina stopped herself from slamming into Alyssa, sliding across the barren ground of the courtyard before she collided with the young mage. She ended up being about two feet away from Alyssa, and she simply slammed the dagger and the sword's grip together, a look of apparent fear on her face. She sheathed the weapon, then an idea came to her head. Irina looked around for a weapon that matched Alyssa's sword, and she found it after looking to her right. She began jogging towards a weapon rack, taking out a...a wooden sword. It was shaped perfectly like a straight sword, three feet long and completely straight, but the blade and handle were light wood.

  • Alyssa sighed in relief, smiling at Irina. "There, this why I won't, like, die," She said, laughing. She gripped the sword in her left hand, flexing as she waited for Irina to attack again.

Only smirking, Irina actually approached slowly this time, raising the wooden sword upwards and as she got closer to Alyssa, and slammed it down with less strength than before, swinging the blade vertically towards Alyssa's left shoulder. Her goal was to get her to block, for now..

  • Alyssa spun, took an unbalanced step backwards, lifting her blade up, and the wooden sword struck it with a loud clang. Alyssa, who was off-balance, went stumbling back, only barely not falling on the ground.

Grinning slightly at the fact that Alyssa was atleast capable of deflecting an attack, Irina waited for the mage to recover before swinging once more, this time horizontally and towards Alyssa's left side.

  • The sword hit home, and Alyssa cried out in pain, stumbling back and clutching at her side. "Oh, that's gonna leave bruises," She wheezed, looking around for an ice pack to calm the throbbing bruise that had popped up.

The huntress grimaced suddenly, lowering the blade as her unnaturally pale face somehow became even paler. She didn't care about Alyssa. It was the fact that...well, this wasn't working out. She only had one arm, and she didn't seem to be dominant with her left. Sighing, Irina ran off, and conveniently returned a couple of minutes later with an ice pack, because reasons.

Irina only sighed disappointingly, handing over the ice pack then thinking for a bit more. She could always have Alyssa simply attack her while she defended herself. She was probably capable enough to do so. And for now, she would give the mage something of a break, though she twirled the wooden sword out of boredom. About five minutes later, she began approaching Alyssa, seeking her attention.

  • Alyssa looked up at Irina, a question in her bright green eyes. "Yeah, what is it, madam?" Alyssa asked, holding the ice pack to her bruise as she watched Irina, hoping she wasn't disappointed in her.
