The Water Rose Dojoville The sodden feet lay barefoot against the hard tile of the stone road, the rain soaking the skin thoroughly. She walked with no real goal, headed in no particular direction, exhaustion burdening her like her hunger... But that was no concern now. Her large umbrella covered her from the torrent's onslaught, and the long black veil that hung from the sides hid her from view. And just as it seemed that she would fall from exhaustion, she found slight relief in a bench. It had no cover, but she didn't mind. It was minor solace in a maelstrom. Her chest heaved slightly, her long breaths accompanied by the distant crack of thunder, and a spiderweb of lightning... So far from home. She wasn't sure where she was... All she knew is that she needed to keep going. A refugee... // Time seemed to pass, as she had seemingly drifted off into sleep, and as she awoke she realized that the storm had given way to a clear sky. Stars sparkled above and she let out a sigh of relief. With a click, she twisted her umbrella handle the veil around her raising up and vanishing inside the contraption, the umbrella folding away a moment later. And there sat the newest member of the dojo... A strikingly beautiful woman, of strange origin. She had light blue, almost pale skin like a ghost, dotted with black. And along her legs and arms were glowing lines, turquoise in hue. Then there was her hair... Oh her hair... Sunset red, like the falling leaves in autumn. The hair perfectly accompanied her eyes that shimmered like powerful fires, warm and kind. Her face was delicate and gentle, radiating life and joy. She wore a long black dress with a hood, which her hair was neatly folded into, as was a custom of her exotic species. Lastly, there was her crest, hung right above her forehead... Held in place by a metal rod, which also held her hair in place. Signaling her status in her society... Royalty... The rarest blossom of her kind.
https://i.imgur.com/A099tv7.jpg
But such radiance was diminished by her tired eyes and aching feet. She never wore shoes... So the hard trail had hurt them severely... But the rain had eased away the trial of blood. It was clear she was no fighter, her exposing attire and soft features making it very apparent... But she was no push over. For such a gentle disposition, she held a kind of strength, a raw passion... She was lost, she was tired... And maybe even a little hungry... But she didn't dare move. Yet, despite her exhaustion, she felt sleep elude her. She knew she needed some help. And so she sat, quiet on the bench, her hands folded neatly over her exposed stomach, watching the fireflies dance and parade as they celebrated the new fresh night... And the luminous maze of stars above.
Open! She could use some info for just a talk.
• "Well, I guess that makes some sense... You'll show me how this works right?" She looked up and down at the walls, interest trained on the strange walls.

 • "It's simple." He spoke aloud, looking at one of the walls. "Midycru, Cenaria, Glass Palace." The walls shifted, like they were flying through the sky as a picture flickered onto them. They were high above a city, easily recognizable in the sense it was divided into districts. The west side seemed to be the slums, the east side were mansions And such, a much richer neighborhood. The city was in the middle of an expanse of rolling green hills, rivers criss crossing the land. As for the time period and setting, it was almost like an older scenery. Where only knives and swords and bows exist as weapons, but that wasn't true because Desmond carried guns. The most notable part was what Desmond had spoken, and they could both see. The sun was just barely below the horizon, casting an orange glow on the land. And the giant glass palace reflected it spectacularly. The Glass Palace was exactly what it sounded like. A sprawling, massive Palace with domes, slanted roofs, spires, all made of a blue-ish green glass. The sunlight reflected off of it, giving it a flaming look, and it was nothing short of magnificent and awesome.

 • "What is this place?" Chloe asked in awe, never seeing something so... Luminous and perfected. The artificial sun didn't damage her thankfully, which was a strange feeling... But the scenery had distracted her anyways. Nothing in Elunove had been so beautiful.

 • "Home. The city anyway. The King lives in the palace. The city Cenaria, on the continent Midycru." Desmond said with slight spite to the words. He hated the King. He was the one who'd blackmailed his master into attempting to kill him, and thus forced Desmond to murder the only father figure he'd ever had.

 • "It seems lovely... But all things are a facade, hm?" Chloe was certainly naive and young... But she wasn't stupid. She knew a false appearance when she saw one.

 • "What do you mean? Yes, it's simple an image. But the place does exist." He wasn't quite sure what she meant, whether the fact the sim room was fake? Because that was obvious.

 • "I mean... It's sinister. You clearly left for a reason. Something bad lurks in the city." She looked at the divided districts, then to Desmond, her normal smile faded away.

 • "Besides a corrupt King and ten other wetboys out for my neck? Yeah, sinister is a decent adjective." He said with a smirk, and she'd realize that was the first time she'd ever heard the term "wetboy."

 • "Wetboy?" She questioned, her eyes instinctively looking over Desmond and his gear.

 • "They're hired killers, assassins but far better. We scoff at the term assassin, because assassins have targets. We have deaders. Meaning when a contract is put on someone, they're as good as dead." He doesn't look at her as he explains for the first time exactly what he was. Boiled down, he killed people for money.

 • "Do you enjoy your work, Desmond...? Are you happy?" She asked, giving him a strange stare, her voice turning fragile as she asked her questions. She couldn't imagine such a life... But there were many thing she couldn't imagine, and most couldn't imagine taking a step into her place.

 • "I used to hate it. But it was my only ticket out of being a guild rat. Lower than scum in the Warrens, the slums of Cenaria. Being a wetboy was my only way out." He talks, crossing his arms as he looked over the landscape of Cenaria. "Now.. it's a part of me. I don't like it, but it's a part of me. For the last twelve years that's all I've known is learning what herbs killed, how to slice someone's throat so they're blood doesn't spray on you.." He stopped, looking at her. "There's so much blood on my hands at this point, there's no concept of redemption."

 • "I disagree. Every second you spend with me is redemption. You don't need to change every life to be a hero, just one..." Her warm smile returned, almost motherly in a way... "But... That's just my perception..."

 • Desmond almost scoffed at her, but that was something Durzo would've done, not him. He wasn't that cynical or rude. Desmond smiles slightly and nods. "Your perception is something that many people could've used in Cenaria. Do you wanna see your home?" He questioned.

 • "Not particularly... Theres nothing to see but towers and fields... And more towers." Her land was built around the citadels, massive sky scrapers that went far past the clouds. Inside were stores and homes... Everything shared.

 • Desmond shrugged his shoulders, his strong frame, framed by the slim fitting armor. Built for mobility and speed. "Well, I'm not going to make you. You left for a reason." He takes on a thinking face as he ponders on something else to show her.

 • "Perhaps we should find a place to stay... We'll be spending at least some time here...? Right?" She gave Desmond a questioning look, always wary when he got to thinking. Who knows what that could mean?

 • "Then we do that... Better to have some respite after traveling..." She nods and walks from the sleek white room back out into the streets... Which were mostly desolate. It had grown much later and at this point of night, only the nocturnal few still roamed.

 • "There's a whole wing dedicated to rooms. From what I hear, they decorate themselves according to the owner's wishes." They walked through the streets until they came to a wing of the Dojo, that led to rows and rows of rooms. Finding two together that didn't have any names on them, Desmond nodded in approval. He'd be nothing short of next door if something happened.

 • "Seems... Modest. I like it." Chloe was far beyond tired of the extravagant citadels and the rooms of her home... This... This was much better. "Well... I guess that makes the journey all the more... Simple..."

 • Desmond scoffed but didn't say anything. Right when you thought things were simple, shit got complicated. "I'm right here. Yell if you need anything." That's if she could wake him up from the coma he was about to be in after three days of no sleep.

 • "Then... Until we speak again..." She gave a warm smile and slight bow, padding to the door and twisting the handle to peep inside, slipping in a moment later and disappearing into the room.
