The Water Rose Dojoville The sodden feet lay barefoot against the hard tile of the stone road, the rain soaking the skin thoroughly. She walked with no real goal, headed in no particular direction, exhaustion burdening her like her hunger... But that was no concern now. Her large umbrella covered her from the torrent's onslaught, and the long black veil that hung from the sides hid her from view. And just as it seemed that she would fall from exhaustion, she found slight relief in a bench. It had no cover, but she didn't mind. It was minor solace in a maelstrom. Her chest heaved slightly, her long breaths accompanied by the distant crack of thunder, and a spiderweb of lightning... So far from home. She wasn't sure where she was... All she knew is that she needed to keep going. A refugee... // Time seemed to pass, as she had seemingly drifted off into sleep, and as she awoke she realized that the storm had given way to a clear sky. Stars sparkled above and she let out a sigh of relief. With a click, she twisted her umbrella handle the veil around her raising up and vanishing inside the contraption, the umbrella folding away a moment later. And there sat the newest member of the dojo... A strikingly beautiful woman, of strange origin. She had light blue, almost pale skin like a ghost, dotted with black. And along her legs and arms were glowing lines, turquoise in hue. Then there was her hair... Oh her hair... Sunset red, like the falling leaves in autumn. The hair perfectly accompanied her eyes that shimmered like powerful fires, warm and kind. Her face was delicate and gentle, radiating life and joy. She wore a long black dress with a hood, which her hair was neatly folded into, as was a custom of her exotic species. Lastly, there was her crest, hung right above her forehead... Held in place by a metal rod, which also held her hair in place. Signaling her status in her society... Royalty... The rarest blossom of her kind.
https://i.imgur.com/A099tv7.jpg
But such radiance was diminished by her tired eyes and aching feet. She never wore shoes... So the hard trail had hurt them severely... But the rain had eased away the trial of blood. It was clear she was no fighter, her exposing attire and soft features making it very apparent... But she was no push over. For such a gentle disposition, she held a kind of strength, a raw passion... She was lost, she was tired... And maybe even a little hungry... But she didn't dare move. Yet, despite her exhaustion, she felt sleep elude her. She knew she needed some help. And so she sat, quiet on the bench, her hands folded neatly over her exposed stomach, watching the fireflies dance and parade as they celebrated the new fresh night... And the luminous maze of stars above.
Open! She could use some info for just a talk.
• The voice cackled before green and blue flame erupted around the scene, a fall figure taking shape. "Settle down now, it's the smell..." As if he was reading his mind, he metal monstrosity looked off towards the tent. He was... He had no body... He... What was he...? It was like something that could have only come out of a bizarre imagination... He had teeth pointed like a sharks, and a horn that peeled back like a Roman Warrior head piece. But his armaments were the terrifying part. Two massive revolvers with long barrels that ended in crow skulls, a massive canon, and a two handed ax. The gruff voice started again, the flames not catching onto the wood or grass of the forestry. "I saw you awhile back... As did my compatriot... I came to investigate the newcomers."

 • Desmond materialized into existence, pistol at his side and armored eyes on The new arrival. He was no stranger to well, strange, but this guy was something else. "Halloween come early?"

 • "I'm the Easter bunny you dumbass..." The figure grinned and crouched, looking at Chloe. For some reason, his voice didn't wake her... Almost as if he wasn't really speaking... But Desmond suddenly realized that he couldn't remember this figure opening his mouth at all... "And she must be...? Important...?"

 • "Yeah. Now take two steps back." He said out loud, even though he had his suspicions about the communication of this guy. Either way, he didn't scream bad guy, but Desmond hadn't gotten far by trusting a "maybe." His hand brushed the sniper rifle on his back, looking the..thing up and down. "Otherwise you'll see why I'm more of the Boogeyman than an Easter Bunny." A smirk crossed his lips.

 • "Calm down... " He shakes his head and gets to his feet, flames lapping at the air greedily as he looks out towards the Dojo. "So... That begs the question doesn't it? My colleague wants to know about your friend. What's up with her?"

 • "Besides being as meek as a mouse? Nothing." Desmond narrows his eyes. He didn't like the way the man was talking about a "colleague," but the way he spoke showed that he didn't run the show with whoever he was talking about.

 • "Eh... Guess that's something. I'll admit, you two don't resonate as much... But I guess I'll learn one way or another." With a click, he looked up, the sky around him unfurling until pieces of his armor began to ascend, the flames following. Then, like a dream, he just left...

 • Desmond raised an eyebrow at the show, curious as to what just happened. He'd seen a lot of strange things, but that was up there. He didn't relax, rather, cloaking himself once again and holding his pistol, guarding the tent and waiting for any other newcomers as the sun slowly creeped across the sky.

 • As the sun moved, the only seemingly abnormal thing was the lack of animals. There were insects and plants, but this place either had no small lifeforms, or they had been scared off.

 • Desmond leaned his head back against the tree bark, eyes on the grass and forest. Bodyguarding was boring, to say the least. He'd never asked why Chloe had to avoid the sun, but he guessed it had something to do with the fact she glowed. Maybe that was an adaptation of her home.

 • As the sun set, Chloe eventually awoke, the sleep seemingly only changing how bright her eyes were. It was like her body was perpetually stuck in its looks... She said nothing and made no motions besides watching the sun drift down. She took a deep breath, seemingly disoriented as if she forgot where she was and what had happened in the past few hours.

 • "I suppose..." She finished with a mumble, a yawn escaping her for a moment. "What about you? How are you doing?" With a gentle smile, lines began to swim over her skin before settling on her hands and feet once again... As if they had disappeared while she slept.

 • "Tired.. but that's nothing new." For another day, he was going without sleep. He wasn't one to complain, but he couldn't wait to get to the Dojo so he could actually take a nap...or a coma. "How are your feet?"

 • "Still hurt... But I can fix them now..." She touched her wounds softly, the lines running across them before they sealed and closed, scars disappearing with them. "I just needed sometime to recharge and rest."

 • He nods, offering her a hand up and bolstering his pistol at his waist. "It's only a half hour's walk up the stairs. Maybe. We can get some real food and rest once we're there."

 • "Sounds welcoming..." She responded, a little wobbly on her feet, but she certainly felt better. Beyond that, now that the sun was mostly down, she didn't have to use her veil... Less hassle.

 • He smiled, walking away from the forest after taking the tent down and packing it back up. He left his helmet off, hair swept backwards and tattoo peeking over his collarbone. It was where he'd been stabbed by a poisoned blade, and Chloe had saved him. He'd gotten a tattoo to cover it, because he didn't believe in the whole "wear your scars proudly" bullshit. He didn't like the way it looked, so he covered it. "What was your home like?" He questions as they began to climb the steps. He didn't know much about what she'd run away from, and nor her about him. He wasn't one to be curious, but anything to keep the walk less boring.

 • "Dark... Very dark. Constantly in perpetual night. Only an hour of daylight, and two hours of twilight." She mused, following behind quietly, her bare feet making no sound. "And it was small. Not a big place..." She seemed glad to be away from the place, but almost upset too. She left everything behind... And even then some.

 • "Sounds like my kind of place.." He says quietly. He loved the darkness, it was a wetboy's dream environment. He shook his head at that thought, Chloe didn't know that was his title either. Wetboy's were far better than assassins. Assassin's had targets, Wetboy's had deaders. In the sense that once they were marked for a contract, they were as good as dead.

 • "Perhaps... Not much happens there though. The politics always argue and threaten each other, but never actually start anything... Cowards... All of them..." Chloe had refused to join such a caustic and mentally deficient group of people long ago, not exactly a fan of their idiotic rambles and jibes.

 • He smirks. That was the difference between her world and his. In his world, if a threat was made, it was carried out. Always. Midycru wasn't a nice place. "What was your position there? Or rather, your parents? We're they important in any way?"

 • "They were the Correctors of the main citadel, the highest position. I was heir to it, but I was almost forced into a marriage to receive it. I didn't want the position or marriage." She scowled, very unpleased with her pompous parents. They didn't even raise her. Maids did that, but it was a new on every week so she never grew attached to one. Her parents just cared about money and their seat.

 • "Well... I don't dare marry a man I can't love... In fact, I don't want to marry at all... I just want to be free... " Responsibility was one thing, but burdens were another. And the moment a responsibility was a burden... She didn't dare continue with it.
