Dojoville
The sodden feet lay barefoot against the hard tile of the stone road, the rain soaking the skin thoroughly.
She walked with no real goal, headed in no particular direction, exhaustion burdening her like her hunger... But that was no concern now.
Her large umbrella covered her from the torrent's onslaught, and the long black veil that hung from the sides hid her from view.
And just as it seemed that she would fall from exhaustion, she found slight relief in a bench. It had no cover, but she didn't mind. It was minor solace in a maelstrom.
Her chest heaved slightly, her long breaths accompanied by the distant crack of thunder, and a spiderweb of lightning... So far from home. She wasn't sure where she was... All she knew is that she needed to keep going. A refugee...
//
Time seemed to pass, as she had seemingly drifted off into sleep, and as she awoke she realized that the storm had given way to a clear sky. Stars sparkled above and she let out a sigh of relief.
With a click, she twisted her umbrella handle the veil around her raising up and vanishing inside the contraption, the umbrella folding away a moment later.
And there sat the newest member of the dojo... A strikingly beautiful woman, of strange origin. She had light blue, almost pale skin like a ghost, dotted with black. And along her legs and arms were glowing lines, turquoise in hue. Then there was her hair... Oh her hair... Sunset red, like the falling leaves in autumn. The hair perfectly accompanied her eyes that shimmered like powerful fires, warm and kind. Her face was delicate and gentle, radiating life and joy. She wore a long black dress with a hood, which her hair was neatly folded into, as was a custom of her exotic species. Lastly, there was her crest, hung right above her forehead... Held in place by a metal rod, which also held her hair in place. Signaling her status in her society... Royalty... The rarest blossom of her kind.

But such radiance was diminished by her tired eyes and aching feet. She never wore shoes... So the hard trail had hurt them severely... But the rain had eased away the trial of blood.
It was clear she was no fighter, her exposing attire and soft features making it very apparent... But she was no push over. For such a gentle disposition, she held a kind of strength, a raw passion...
She was lost, she was tired... And maybe even a little hungry... But she didn't dare move. Yet, despite her exhaustion, she felt sleep elude her. She knew she needed some help.
And so she sat, quiet on the bench, her hands folded neatly over her exposed stomach, watching the fireflies dance and parade as they celebrated the new fresh night... And the luminous maze of stars above.
Open! She could use some info for just a talk.
Edited by Tamedfrog: 10/5/2016 5:16:51 AM"Hey ma'm, you okay?" Xavier said, as he walked up to the lady. He was worried about her condition, seeing her all messed up like that. If she took the time to study Xavier's appearance, she would see that he was wearing glasses, has dark hair, and conventional clothes that had some ODST gear over them. He puts away his rifle, to show that he does not want to harm her.
-
She turned to Xavier, head somewhat hung low in exhaustion. "Ah! I-I am fine... Just t-taking a moment to rest." She remarked, her words burdened by weariness.
-
Xavier took another look at her. She didn't look like shît, but she certainly sounds like she went through shît. "No, you are not fine. Please, don't deny the fact that you went through a lot." Xavier looked at where she might have come from. No blood trail, obviously. But her feet...
-
"It's just... B-Been a long j-journey... S-Sorry..." She looks down slightly, not sure what else to say. What could she say...?
-
Xavier sighed, then said: "Before we find a safer place to go, what's your name?"
-
"C-Chloephina... Chloe for s-short..." She responded, not sure what he meant by safer place... She felt safer here...

Edited by Tamedfrog: 10/6/2016 1:46:28 AM"I see you're concerned. Don't worry, I promise that you'll get the essentials for keeping yourself alive. Food, water, sleep, that sorta stuff. Xavier then suddenly started to carry Chloe. "Now then, we better get to the Dojo. You can't just survive out here without what you need. And plus, my name's Xavier."
-
Her eyes widened in surprise, but she didn't argue... How could she? She was vulnerable, and she didn't know this person. Arguing might make him angry and irrational... She couldn't afford it. "O-Okay..." She said simply.
-
"Alright, let's go." Xavier then started to walk to the Dojo gates, which was a few minutes away. "So what species are you?"
-
"Elune... But it s-seems not many know o-of us..." She mumbled, still not exactly comfortable with the situation...
-
"Elune? That seems interesting. Would you tell me more about your kind?" Xavier seemed intent on gathering facts.
-
Suddenly, she became suspicious, for once, deciding to take the conversation into her own hands. "Why...?" She asked simply, her eyes narrowing in concern. She felt her hands instinctively loosen in case the situation were to go sour.
-
Xavier realised this, then started to think about it. "Oh right. I keep on forgetting about the fact that I sound suspicious when I ask about that sorta stuff." He adjusted his glasses, which Chloe swore that she saw his glasses crack a little. "I'm a dimensional traveller, and I gather facts from each dimension and record it. I'm basically a historian."
-
"Okay..." She said simply, her guard not going down. She didn't understand humans... And more importantly... She didn't understand this one.
-
"You don't believe me? Well, I'd show you, but now's not the time for that." Xavier then stopped, at the Dojo gates. "Because we are here.
-
She sighed and looked at the new location, not exactly pleased to have been man-handled and brought somewhere unfamiliar. "Can I be put down now...?" She asked quietly, her demeanor never changing.
-
"Yeah, sure thing." Xavier put her down gently, then started to put a finger up to his ear. He seemed to be silently talking to someone or something. A few nods and a few words later, the gate opened, revealing the Dojo. Nothing suspicious about that, at least.
-
She merely watches the gate not saying anything one way or the other. At this point she almost wished Desmond was around to do something...
-
"Can you walk now? Hopefully you can at least move." Xavier held out his hand to help her up.
-
She looked down at her bruised and badly torn feet, the cuts and gashes still fresh. With a shrug, she placed a gentle hand in his, her skin strangely soft. With a heave, she brought herself up with a wince, but did not protest. She rarely did. Quickly, she slipped her hand out of his and looked at the entrance, slightly confused on what the place was supposed to be.
-
Dojoville was kinda busy today. And by kinda, I mean not a lot of people. There were a few humans and other species walking around and chatting, but other than that, it was a pretty nice settlement.
-
"This is where you live...?" With an annoyed glance she looks at the crowd, slowly producing her umbrella from seemingly thin air, unfolding it and settling it on her shoulder. Eventually, a long black veil lowered and hid her completely, only her silhouette visible.
-
"Well, not really. I live in a more private place somewhere away from here. Follow me, there'll be less people, I promise." Xavier walked to the right.
-
She hesitated, before eventually following, her steps wobbly from the wounds. But she refused to complain or whimper.

Edited by Tamedfrog: 10/6/2016 7:22:08 AMTheir walk wasn't interrupted, before something weird happened. The air seemed to... 'Glitch', causing the sky to look like a broken mirror. Tiny, polygonal shapes started to arise from the ground like smoke. The people that were walking around seemed to have frozen, also. Even the birds in mid-flight are. "Did some fool just activate a temporal distortion?" Xavier pulled out his M(agnetic) AR, scanning with it.
