Damien swore under his breath and kicked on his thrusters, boosting himself upwards towards the top of his pillar, clinging on as he changed barrels. Time to try something new. With a snap, and gentle rattle, a small canister suddenly lined towards Olivia... Sparkling purple fumes spewing out of the top... Damien wasn't about to cause physical harm... But Ronin had taught him his first lesson of the dojo. Mental harm wasn't off the table. Soon, purple haze filled the room as Damien coughed and sputter at his own gas. He designed this shit to get through all kinds of gas filters and fibers... And so it effected him as well... Onset hallucinations quickly taking over his mind... He just had to hope Olivia had a frontal lobe and working lungs.

Olivia indeed had both, but nothing could truly prepare her for the hallucinations caused by the purple gases. Suddenly coughing loudly, she held her shotgun in her right hand while placing her left on the pillar next to her, in order to be able to keep herself from falling over. She began shaking her head, closing her eyes under her helm and listening closely for Damien's reaction to her sudden stop in combat. This didn't stop the hallucinating effects, but she was still attempting to concentrate and get through with it as soon as possible.

  • Damien let out some mechanical coughing before falling silent... From her point, the haze seemed to dawn a new form... Inside the clouds, images of corpses and mangled bodies began to swarm in an out of existence... It was hard to tell if it was the gas... Or something else... Reality began to blur and spiral out of control as the violent images continued to swarm Olivia... Damien on the other hand, was having a less gruesome experience, but a horrible one nonetheless... For him, the gas took on the form of long fields of grass, dotted with thumb size grasshoppers. Damien crouched low and simply stared at the insects... Horribly disgusted.

Under the gold and titanium helm that she wore, Olivia's electric yellow eyes widened in horror as she began backing away from the terrible scenes of gore, taking heavy, shaky breaths and beginning to sweat as she stared upon the hallucinations. Her ridiculous fear of gore was taking over, it seemed, and Olivia felt as if she was about to both throw up and scream. The knighted eventually backed into a marble pillar, where she closed her eyes and began silently praying, out of some amount of fear. She wouldn't be too capable of combat after this.

  • Hours seemed to pass under the gas, but any clock would have said only a few seconds had slipped by... The purple haze eventually lifted, Damien in the center of the room, laying on his back staring up at the ceiling... His helmet folded back. He looked pale, and his eyes were glossy. "You wanna call this one off...?" He called out, his voice shaky. Probably what he got for using his latest prototype in battle...

The knightess didn't respond, but only leaned back against one of the remaining marble pillars at the right side of the room, her breath rather shaky, as if she was actually scared by what she had seen. It could have been much worse, but the gore certainly made her panic. One of her three biggest fears was intense gore, which the hallucination-causing gas exploited greatly. She only looked down at her armored feet, as she was unsure of how to respond to Damien after what she had witnessed.

  • "I'll go with yes... That one needs to be... Worked on some more." Damien was in the process of creating a heavy agitant after his fight with Ronin... But he had clearly gotten something wrong. He would've apologized... But his mind was still numb... Instead, giving a slight motion to signify his wrong doing.

"Y-Yeah..." "Yeah" was the only thing that the young knightess said, her voice shaky and stuttering. She was honestly disturbed by the whole situation, as...well, she hadn't really experienced something of this magnitude yet, though she knew that she would.

  • "Well... That settles it. I owe you lunch or maybe a coffee." He mumbled, rolling to his feet slowly. He didn't mean it romantically, rather just a courteous gesture. He liked Olivia... As far as new people went. Interesting people were always nice to have on good terms. With a sigh, he wiped his eyes and used his metal glove to flick away the beads of sweat on his forehead. "Unless you are a robot... Or if you don't care for company." He seemed to recover quick, but it helped that he had a neural sensors providing low pressure to his brain every few minutes.

"...I-I guess I'd like some company...thanks." The knightess only sighed, holstering and sheathing her weaponry after speaking in a hushed, low tone. She respected Damien quite a lot: he had bothered to assist her with a child, and she still couldn't find a way to thank him for it. She hadn't fought that well against him, and nearly broke down at the sight of gore. "So, uh...should I shut the virtual reality down?"

  • Damien shrugged... Clearly still slightly dazed. But he had a solution on hand. Suddenly two large syringe packs blasted from his armor, Star Wars style. Each one contained bright blue liquid. With a simple kick, Damien lobed one towards Olivia, catching the other with a hand. He wouldn't admit it, most of Olivia's shotgun shells had horrible pelted his armor after tearing through the pillar... Some hitting deep. With a twist of the back end, Damien slid the needle into his shoulder, color almost instantly returning to his face. "It's up to you... I'm sure it will construct it the same way again if you came back..." And with that, Damien nodded to her... "I think it best we rest up first though... Besides... I need to find a way to get money. I'll be around though, so I'll probably find the tall woman with a spear fairly easily... I hope..."
