[i]He nods his head.[/i] "Uh huh.... You're a cat dog thing from another dimension. Of course." [i]He sighs.[/i] "They told me I'd see weird things here, but damn. I've already met a robot that collects human knee caps, a dragon slaying knight girl, and you. What's next a sky whale?...I swear to god if there's a giant floating whale right behind me I'm done."

*His ears lay back a little.* "No sky whales... And hey, it wasn't my choice to come to this dimension..."

"So uhh, is this test a written exam or like a physical or something?"

"It's trial by combat." *He says, his ears perking back up again.* "We fight, I decide if you can fight others, that kind of thing."

"Bullets? Don't worry. I'll be fine. Armor slows me down and considering what I am, there's no armor that I can wear with out having a LOT of surgery first." *He touches the base of his neck, a katana with a glowing white blade forming in his left hand.*

"Yeah, I like to keep it light as well..." [i]John sighs.[/i] "...I forgot I'm wearing this stupid chest armor I'm required to wear to test it out. I probably don't look too light because of it, but trust me I also like being able to move around without too many restraints." [i]John places his rifle in a safe spot and pulls out an eleven inch knife.[/i] "Sadly I was only able to bring this with me for close quarters, but I'll have my swords by the end of the week."

*The sword disappears from his hand when he sees the knife.* "Oh, you're only using that? Well using either of my swords would be unfair!" *He takes off the sheathed sword and puts it next to wear he put his rifle.* "If I used that sword that I just summoned, you might have been sent flying off the mountain! I use it against guns because it can stop bullets. And my wife made my other sword... It freezes people so that would obviously be unfair." *He gets into a guard showing his claws which just happen to be metallic.* "I'll just have to use my claws, which by the way, could easily slice through that armor..."

[i]He shrugs.[/i] "Supposedly this prototype chest armor can stop anything, but to be honest you could easily cut through the rest of my armor. How long are those claws? Four centimeters?"

"Four centimeters??? They're only about one and a half! It's the stuff coating them though... They could cut through steel like butter!"

"Oh, I thought they weren't fully out yet." [i]John takes a deep breath and gets into a stance with his eyes closed.[/i] "Ready when you are."

"It's customary for the one being tested to go first."

[i]John ran at Sketch and then purposely slid past him right before he got hit. John then used his arm length to keep Sketch at a distance while attacking with his long knife. His strikes were precise and quick, but his attempts at keeping a distance and dodging made his strikes infrequent.[/i]

*Sketch lets him slide past but whirls around kicking him in the back of the head before the can stand up and then jumping back, still in his guard.* "Come on, the only person I know who is faster than me also happens to be my wife! She's very talented!"

[i] John got back into a stance. [/i] "I'm just testing your speed. I need to get the blood flowing is all." [i]John shakes his left hand to the point of it becoming impossible to see and then stops it suddenly.[/i] "I think I'm good now."

"Hmm, you are really fast. But she was able to take me down before I could land a single hit!" *He suddenly pulls out a smoke grenade and throws it down. The whole area fills with smoke as he seemingly disappears into it.*

"I'm still young, I have time to improve." [i]John closed his eyes again and focused his senses. He could hear Sketch as well as feel him displace the smoke if he moved.[/i]

It's near silent but if he strains his ears he can tell Sketch is quietly walking over to his left, somewhere between ten and fifteen feet away now.*

[spoiler]I have to ask, just how experienced is your character?[/spoiler] "Why are you running?! You scared of me or something or did you hear a vacuum cleaner, scaredy cat?!" [i]John continues to just stand there with his eyes closed, prepared for anything. He might be putting a little too much faith in his reaction time.[/i]

"What?! Where!? Hey, f#%& you! It's a legitimate fear! What if my tail gets caught?!" *He's now in front of him but moving back towards his left.* [spoiler]He's very experienced. I only use him to test because I'm best with him.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]I was hoping to have my character lose by inexperience when testing, that's why I asked.[/spoiler] "Here kitty kitty! I got some tuna for you and a dish of milk!" [i]John started to tease Sketch to see if he could get him to mess up.[/i]

*He a walkie talkie hits him in the right side of the head and a message comes through.* "F#%& off you racist a$$hole." *He doesn't seem to be nearby now.*

I've dealt with enough people like you and for a second I actually enjoyed having to tell someone what I was again..."

"Yeah, I just realized this is a test fight and not a fight for my life. I didn't mean anything I said, I'm sorry. No hard feelings? I'd hate to lose a possible friend."
