Need more vault space!

PLEASE! Don't want to wait until next year for the sequel to get more vault space (for weapons, armor, and items) to import over (a) character(s) that haven't even finished this editions' challenges and the like and be behind most others. Know there's the whole last-gen thing, but this expansion is done with those consoles so if those consoles were the main reason users didn't get more storage (BUT STILL DID) the past couple of years, why won't there be anymore (in the near-future that this user has read about, regarding the roadmap for this) now that it finally is only supporting current-gen tech?

  • Iron Gjallarhorn went into mailbox after acquiring it from the quest...soon after OUT of the mailbox, because this company is too busy NOT adding in more storage space, even if users have to pay for it, so whenever it does, this user will have to settle for a 320 Gjally and not the 350...making this user's first run at the new Raid even harder...which this user should've done already world first, but like most previous activities' debuts, are done by others before this user because of a lack of storage space...and having to rely on LFG sites because Friends list is empty and this user is not in a clan, but that's another story for another time. Point is: Add more storage space, for free or for money ASAP, and allow for matchmaking for ALL activities, even harder ones, as not all users have many (or any) friends or clans and should not be penalized for not having such.

  • Whelp, there goes this user's ability to get some sort of "world first" achievement done before seeing videos of other users going through the new Raid de-clothed with their children using only melee attacks with low-level, Year-One weapons and armor equipped on the final enemy after speeding past everything else on their vehicles (possibly upside-down too)...all because some "model employees" at that-company-with-N.W.O-financial-backers-from-across-an-ocean are more interested in creating "citizenship scores" than making the money to be had from the miniscule (considering the support for last-gen consoles has diminished) update size to allow additional pages of vault space to be purchased in the cash-shop. Instead, they'd prefer to wait until most users' need more space and want it for free. /salty rant

  • I understand why Bungie doesn't want to add more space. See, in loot-based games like Destiny, once you get something better then what you have, you normally get rid of it. But Bungie didn't expect collectors to keep everything that they get. Don't get me wrong, I would love more vault space. So it's a two-sided conflict. Bungie needs to realize that a good amount of Destiny players like collecting stuff, and the player base needs to realize that once we find something better, we should discard the old, outdated items.

  • Youll have more vault apace when you delete all the old unused underleveled stuff. Not bungies fault you hold stuff that should be deleted

  • They should charge money for it. We don't NEED vault space. I'm a beta player with a half empty vault. I don't hoard items I don't use. Seems pointless to me, but anyways. Yeah. Add space. $5.00 for another page or something. Pay for my next DLC or big update like the April one. I'd be on board with that. Otherwise there's a lot more to do than vault space so while I don't care if it's added, i'd rather them focus resources elsewhere.

    • There old reason was to accomadate the lack of ram in old gen users consoles. Now they have no excuse. I could sure loose some guns. But many yr1 weapons are my go to for the rare times i play pvp. My yr1 exotics perform better in crucible as well as my yr1 armour. Back when they gave ya heavy ammo perks instead of class specific. Or just special ammo perks instead of class specific. Also we grinded our asses off for em. So no. I wont delete something I spent hours refining and re forging. -blam!- that.

      • Your just going to have to horde less crap you don't use. I have a half a page left for guns, a full page for armor and a quarter page left in the other one. Just use your space wisely

      • Also, if your vault is full, companion app does not allow item transfer between characters.

      • Bump. I'm not sure why it was not doubled with ROI release. Now managing my inventory by shuffling items around takes more time than playing the game.

        • I wouldn't need more vault space if you could dismantle gear in the companion app. I need to clear it out but when I'm in game I want to be shooting stuff not clearing my vault. I'd be happy with an extra dialogue on the screen to prevent mistakes (Are you sure you want to dismantle?), then I could do it on the morning commute/khazi.

        • One would think if there's money to be had from charging for more vault space than the crew would be comfortable devoting time and energy to it when only half the user base would want or need it at this juncture, because it'd be more profitable than waiting until almost all users want or need more vault space because when most users feel they need something to continue, they'd expect it for free in an update or expansion, but while it sits at around half the population now that want or need more vault space, the company can (re: should) be able to code into the cash shop an option for extra vault space at a fair cost, as half the user base would pay for it as it is now, and feel comfortable continuing to progress, lest they feel the need to take a break or leave altogether due to not being able to store what is to be sought in activities, co-op and competitive alike. The longer the company waits to implement more vault space, the more it'll hinder (or at least remain stagnant when there's money to be had in this window of opportunity) the bottom line, and thus funding for future projects, etc.. Cash shops are supposed to be purely cosmetic in most implementations and, generally, for the hardcore user base and the more users that want a particular feature, the more it is on the company to deliver said feature for free to all, so striking while the "iron" (pun intended) is hot, with roughly half the user population wanting or needing extra space now (or some, such as this user, for quite some time actually), there's money to be had, and less when most expect more space for free.
