TO XB1 USERS HAVING ISSUES REDEEMING ROI CODES FROM GAMESTOP

Hey everyone, I've been answering this question for a few of you guys all night so I figured I would just put the info in one centralized location. First thing's first, why am I qualified to help you? I am currently a Gamestop Employee in the Southern Arizona district. Employee Number 494539 at the location in Tucson on Broadway Blvd. Feel free to call us if you have any gaming questions at all and request "Dom" if you want me specifically. Anyway, onto the madness that has been dredged up from the depths of the Microsoft Marketplace.
"I entered my $30 dollar code online but it will not give me rise of iron. What do I do?"
Okay, just so you guys know, Rise of Iron Pre-Orders from Gamestop are a little different from your full-game Pre-Orders in the sense that, for Microsoft users, they are just currency for the content later. This is the same for purchasing the Call of Duty Season Pass as well as other major DLC pieces. When the clerk (or online page) prompted you for which edition of the game you wanted, you selected the lowest amount of $30. This is a bit of a problem as, with tax on the marketplace, the game actually comes out to about $35 dollars. The $35 dollar option was also available, but if you were not informed about it or decided to try and save a little money, you are coming up a bit short right now.
"Since I have this code, how do I get my rise of iron without the sufficient funds?"
Unless you are in Europe, sadly most Gamestops have since closed so you will need to get the necessary funds from Microsoft cards sold at other stores like Walmart or Target, or use the Microsoft marketplace to purchase the points with a credit card. After you get the other funds, be sure to enter these before you enter your Rise of Iron code since, when you enter the RoI code, it will immediately try to take the full amount from your account but you will only have the $30 available to you. Be sure to have the rest of the currency on your account before you redeem it to ensure it goes off without much more of a hitch.
"I pre-ordered online and have not received my Iron G-Horn or G-Wing codes. How do I get that sweet loot?"
Well, assuming there is a Gamestop in your area, we usually have access to replacement codes should there be errors with the ones sent out. This is a part of Gamestop's Customer Solutions promise. We will do everything we can to hold up our end of the deal and keep you happy. Provide proof of purchase in your store and there should be no problem getting you a new code for your RoI purchase. Keep in mind, this cannot be done over the phone. You have to come in to that given store.
"I pre-ordered from Gamestop in person, but I ended up just buying it through the Microsoft marketplace. Will I be able to get my money back? I kinda like my money..."
So long as you did not order the game online, yes. Yes you can have your money back. Just report to the same store you pre-ordered it from and boom, you are good to go. Also, for you Gears fans out there, Pre-Ordering Gears of War 4 while also being a Pro member will get you $20 off of a second, new Xbox 1 title when you pick up GoW 4. Just in case you were wondering if you should put that deposit down towards something else... Not like I'm trying to meet a sales quota or anything... Ha... Haha. Ha.
"I am currently game-sharing The Taken King and am cannot buy Rise of Iron. How do I fix this?"
Rise of Iron does not support Game Share, so you will need to purchase The Taken King before even trying to redeem your codes for Rise of Iron or even the pre-order bonuses. Many users on this page have reported this issue and this is the only answer we have found.
"My code is simply not working are there any known issues regarding the code itself?"
Several users on this page have reported Microsoft having sent out faulty codes, but so far the incidents have only been reported in Canada. Still, if you can enter the code but it is reported as error, speak to Microsoft and give them your local Gamestop's contact number so that they may alert them to the issue and get you a new code. If there are any more questions you guys might have please feel free to post them below. I am a pretty knowledgeable guardian and I am more than happy to lend what I know and my research skills to assist you guys in any way.

 • When I enter my pre order code on xbox that I purchased at gamestop all it says is "Code not found. Try re-entering it again. If that doesn't work you should contact your merchant" When I went to Gamestop they just told me to contact Microsoft so I went back home and later was told by a Microsoft tech support that it was just a problem with the game provider, but this just confused me even more. Please if you have any ideas as to why it is not working please let me know!
