Setting: Woods a few miles west of Dojoville Time: 1200 hours Character(s): Ylon, Yara Title: The Crimson Swordsman, Slayer of Immortals Strolling through the calm, sunlit woods was a woman, who appeared to be twenty four, with shoulder length brown hair in bright, green eyes. She whistled along with the singing birds in the slight breeze that rustled the leaves in the forest, as cicadas buzzed and crickets chirped. A smile danced on her lips, and she appeared to be calm and happy. The sunlight shined through the branches and lush, green leaves of the trees as the woman strolled, her torn, blue skinny jeans stained with dirt and her loose, beige t-shirt looking old and rather worm. It was calm and peaceful, until a man came crashing through the woods, chased by a mad-looking, pale and skinny man, with bloodshot eyes and teeth stained with blood. His canines were unnecessarily sharp, and his grin looked rather manic. The man whom this crazy thing chased was about six foot four, and wore a snug, crimson chest plate, with an intricate design of a lion head on its chest. There were plates of crimson metal covering a few joints, such as his kneecaps and elbows, and two larger shoulder guards on his broad shoulders. The rest of his outfit was brown leather, in addition to a long, maroon colored cloak hanging around his neck, stopping a few inches above his ankles. The man had artfully messy, scarlet colored hair, and warm, orange eyes that fit in nicely with the calm and warm environment. However his facial expression was serious, his square jaw tense as his lips were set in a firm line of concentration. On the man's back, a massive greatsword was hanging there, seven feet in length. It was stowed diagonally, the grip sticking up above the left of his head, the tip of the blade only barely not touching the dirt path beneath his right shoulder. On each side of his waist, a longsword was sheathed, for a total of two longswords. The sheathes were black, with crimson rims, and were about four and a half feet long. The crazy looking man behind the one with all the weaponry and armor was gaining on him, and her suddenly pounced, lunging at the red man's throat. Quick as lightning the man's greatsword was drawn as he spun with great speed, and the other man was cleaved right in half, their top half hitting the dirt path before his bottom half. Blood sprayed everywhere, staining the main's leather, and drenching the greatsword in the red fluids. The man stared at the completely shredded attacker, his orange eyes full of hatred. "Bloodsucker," He muttered under his breath, shaking his head. "Stultus factus immortales." The woman recognized the dead language, Latin, and knew what it meant—stupid immortal. The woman had also noticed the other now deceased man, the immortal, for being a vampire. Somehow, she knew that the man with the greatsword had a vendetta against immortals, and thus was a danger to her, for she herself was about ten billon years old, the creator of the Legion of Dragons, the first Dragon of the Void, Yuldner. She knew for a fact that she could crush the man easily, however something about him was... off. It wasn't some aura of power that commander respect, like Yuldner felt a lot of at the nearby dojo. Rather it was a more... quite deadliness, that said that if the man dedicated himself to killing somebody then he would stop at nothing to slaughter them. The man turned, then looked at the woman who appeared to he twenty four, and was lost in thought. His eyes were narrowed in suspicion, as he couldn't trust anything; after all, the last time he came across people who claimed to be mortal and had a good cause, he was brainwashed into killing hundreds of innocents for no reason at all. So he took a step forward, raising his greatsword at the woman, ready to lash out at any moment. The woman chose her words very, very carefully. "Who was the other guy?" She inquired cautiously as the man scowled. "Just some vampire," He said, his orange eyes never leaving the woman. "And what did he do to you?" The woman said, not liking how swiftly and emotionlessly the man slew the vampire. The man's scowl grew. "First of all, he tried to kill me," He said, making sure none of his annoyance was shown in his tone. "Second of all... he was an immortal." The confirmed what Yuldner had guessed, and she decided that it would be wise to end his life right then and there. Four, deep, purple orbs formed around her, each with a diameter of one foot. She launched the orbs made of pure voice energy at the man, and the resulting explosion launched him back a hundred yards, slamming him into a tree. He grit his teeth in pain as he remained standing, and he charged, letting out a battle cry that sounded as though it had been used a hundred, no, a thousand times. The woman formed solid spikes of hardened void in midair, launching them at the man. He lifted his greatsword with ease he charged, and parried both the spikes, not slowing his charge as he was finally on Yuldner, lashing out with a massive slash with his greatsword, which whistled through the air, headed for Yuldner's neck. She simply formed a shield of solid void energy mid air, and the sword slammed into it, not even denting the shield. Yuldner smiled slightly as she formed another orb of void energy, launching it at the man. However, he was ready, and lifted his sword to cover him at an angle. The explosion pushed him back three feet, however he kept his balance as he rushed forward again, slashing again. Again the woman blocked, however the man expected her to; holding the greatsword in one had he drew one of his two longswords from its sheathe, revealing the longsword to be the same color as the greatsword, crimson red. He thrusted, and the sword entered Yuldner's abdomen, causing her to cough blood. However, her skin began to turn black as night, until she had pitch black scales instead of skin. She had entered stage one. She easily pulled the greatsword out, and her wound almost instantly closed. From seemingly nowhere she pulled out her own, violet colored greatsword, only a little shorter than the man's. They clashed, massive sword on massive sword, sending sparks flying as tension increased. Yuldner was a tad bit stronger than the man, and he was struggling to block her blows. Then, Yuldner made the mistake of slashing completely vertically to get the aid if gravity in her next slash. The man sidestepped, then slammed his right fist right into the woman's head, causing her to lose balance. He took this opportunity, and lashed out while Yuldner spent the half second it took to regain balance. The greatsword shredded through her armored skin, cleaving past her spine and ending up cleaving off her upper body. The body fell just like the vampire's did, and the man stowed his sword without even cleaning some of the blood off that drenched the man's sword. He sighed, stretching. "That's two immortals in a day," He murmured to himself, finishing his stretches.
Open
• One of the Legion explorer scouts was nearby, and watched the ordeal. He knew he did not want to attack the man for murdering the girl, for he would probably only get a few bullets out from his submachine gun before he, too, was killed. He simply approached the man. "Ave. I saw your prowess in battle, and I think you should come with me. I wish for you to... Discuss some things with our Legate, Darion." The man wore some red, repurposed sports gear. Hockey, soccer, you name it, a part of that gear was on it. He also wore a baseball cap wrapped in red rags, which extended to his neck. At his side was a 12.7mm submachine gun.

  • The man turned sharply towards the Legion scout, his slightly long and artfully messy, scarlet hair spinning as his head snapped towards the scout. His warm, orange eyes scanned the scout over, and it was understandable that he wasn't exactly the most trusting at the moment; he was just attacked by two different immortals, and was beginning to think that the place was a magnet for the ageless. His orange eyes were narrowed in suspicion at the Legionnaire, his red, titanium gauntlet gripping the grip of his seven foot long, crimson greatsword tightly. The greatsword was drenched in still-dripping blood, falling on the dirt path with a soft "pitter, patter". It didn't help that he had been in this situation before, with the Knights of Galnor. Asked to join a group of knights, before he was brainwashed into believing a foolish ideal and tricked into murdering hundreds of innocents, all done by the hands of immortals. It really was understandable that he did not trust the current situation, not one bit. However, he did not immediately attack the scout, instead waiting for anything else he might add.

  • "What is your answer, Profligate? Will you come to the Legion camp with me? We can give you several opportunities. I understand you hate immortals, yes? Well, we can give you the means to kill them even faster."

  • "That depends...." The man said cautiously, not exactly trusting groups of fighters anymore. After a moment of thought, he decided to at least give it a go. "I'll join... under one condition," He added suddenly. "You won't be forcing any ideologies on me. I believe whatever the hell I want to believe, and fight for whatever reason I want to fight. I can leave whenever I want," He said, determination clear in his orange eyes, his jaw set.

  • "... I guess I'll take a look, then," The man murmured, cautious evident in his stance. "Take me to your leader," He said, smiling, in an attempt to break the tension.

  • The Legion Explorer was still dead-faced, emotionless. He had clearly trained to this effect. "Follow me, then." He began walking to the south, looking back expectantly.

  • The man was following the explorer closely, his orange eyes analyzing his every movement. He'd seen a lot of immortals in his lifetime, and had the generally idea of how they moved, how they held themselves. He eventually decided that the explorer was not immortal, and faced forward, hopeful that maybe this group wasn't a band of corrupt ageless that brainwashed mortals like he.

  • They eventually reach a large camp, surrounded by gigantic metal walls. On top of the walls were many sniper towers, all with two snipers each. There were many people hustling and bustling around, be it slaves, travelers, or Legion troops. They reach a massive wooden gate, where two Prime Decanuses stand. Decanus: "Please relinquish your weapons before entering, and put on a nullification bracelet."

  • The man stared, and did not answer. If anything, the grip on his greatsword only grew tighter. "Relinquish my weaponry? Over my dead body," He said, still not completely trusting this "Legion".

  • "... fine," The man said, faking submission as he, in one swift motion, spun and slid one longsword sheathe underneath his cloak, which he unsheathed the other and lay down the greatsword. It was a smooth motion, and the hiding of the one longsword was nearly undetectable.

  • The man turned towards the voice that spoke backwards, unable to discern what he had said. After a moment of thought, he replied to the other man, a little confused as for why he was talking to himself. "Who's Rebecca?" He asked, his stance tense. He had just been attacked by two immortals, and was starting to think that this place was a magnet for them.
YARA NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO -TriggeredStein Mode: Engaged-
The sudden crack of a twig snapping could be heard as a 6'3 foot tall woman stepped into Ylon's line of sight, the figure suddenly stopping as Yara's upper half fell to the ground. Her face was sharp and quite attractive, though stunningly pale, with piercing light blue eyes staring at the slayer of immortals. The woman's platinum blonde hair, which could almost be compared to thin strands of light silver, was tied back in a long ponytail, the top of her head hidden by a pointed black leather hat, a large feather of a pigeon sticking from the back. Her clothing consisted of a dark grey garb, her shirt slightly bloodstained yet surprisingly clean at the same time, a dark leather cape hanging from her left shoulder and not moving at all. Leather gauntlets covered her hands up to her elbows, her leather boots laced up and covered in mud and dark blood. In the woman's right hand was a sharpened straight katana, the blade gleaming as if it had just been cleaned. And yet, protruding from the end of the hilt was a dagger, 2 feet long and sharpened as well. In her left and hidden behind her back was a decorated flintlock pistol, it's wooden and steel surface lined with gold accents. She had one last weapon: a 5'4 foot long curved katana blade, stained quite vibrantly with dark blood and sheathed at her side, while the sheath to the weapon in her right was simply hanging onto her back. The woman stood there quite silently, staring deeply at Ylon for what may have seemed like hours. She had several disturbing thoughts, most including how the warrior would react if he had found out that she was a Vileblood, one of the last of her kind, which was basically a user of the forbidden blood of Yharnam.

He'd just been attacked by two different immortals, and was beginning to think that the forest he was in was a magnet for them. The woman could not reply, and simply shook her head slowly. She was a mute, apparently, so she was incapable of speaking to Ylon as he asked her of who...or what...she truly was. She did fear the question, however: Vilebloods lived for increases periods of time, and were more resistant to physical wounds than regular humans.

  • The man's suspicion only grew when the woman did not answer, for he had never encountered a mute person. But he did understand blackmail, and thought maybe the woman would be in danger it she revealed anything. So instead of attacking her, he decided to try to make small talk, and figure out what she was from there. "... nice weather, huh?" He said, doing his best to sound awkward and nonchalant, looking around the sunlit woods.

Tilting her head slightly, the woman only sheathed her weapons, holstering the flintlock pistol in her left hand and looking up at the sky. After Ylon had spoken about the weather, she simply nodded, letting out a breath of relaxation as she closed her eyes for only a moment in the woods, crossing her arms as she simply stared up at leaves silently waving and falling from the massive trees above. She remained silent still, although she had gotten worried about the man and his...activities. If he found out that she was actually a Vileblood, she would practically have no choice but to fight or die.

  • Once again, the man was suspicious that the woman didn't answer him. He thought maybe the woman was deaf, and moved a little closer to her, making hand signs. The hand signs formed the sentence: "Can you hear me?"

Staring at him oddly, the woman simply tilted her head a little more, nodding to his question as if she was confused by it. And to tell the honest truth, she was. She had uncrossed her arms, pocketing her gloved hands within her garb's thin pockets.
