So what's stopping Bungie from taking these buffs and adding more specific modifiers like faster shield recharge, faster super recharge, more armor when shields are down, increases speed and better loot/glimmer drops BUT they now charge you for it?
Since Eververse I don't put it past Bungie and ACTIVISION to find new ways to make cash off players. Just like Eververse they gave us silver for free before charging us for more in year 2, Bungie/Activison may be trying to get another way to make money. So now that we got our "free sample" (just what any drug dealer would do to hook "customers"), we could get these buffs with a cosmetic flair through Eververse and silver. It wouldn't be a stretch to have the story resolve itself by having these buffs "fixed" by the guardians to be a permanent staple of the game but we can only get the buffs by buying them with "silver."

Bungie confirmed just before eververse that the only things to be sold would be emotes and optional extras which would not on any way effect gameplay. Let's hope they keep to that
Bungie confirmed just before eververse that the only things to be sold would be emotes and optional extras which would not on any way effect gameplay. Pay to win won't happen in my opinion

Edited by PROCK7: 9/18/2016 5:03:27 PM
Pay to win won't happen in my opinion
How would boosters be pay to win? They already have them in the game! Glimmer boosters and rep boosters. Bungie and Activision as well as the community don't view it as game breaking. Paying cash for a weapon or armor piece that gives an advantage is "pay to win." Boosters for rep, exp and glimmer just cut time off grinding. It doesn't break the game but it is a gray area to quite a few players. Edit: Look at what they have done. They took the nightfall buff away and put in regular boosters. We will find out on Tuesday what will happen.

Do you know what P2W is? It's in the game already, yes. But if they sell it for money then its P2W. Even then I bet Bungie won't do it.
Do you know what P2W is? It's in the game already, yes. But if they sell it for money then its P2W. Even then I bet Bungie won't do it.
I'll take a page from your writing style to respond: Did you read all my posts in this chain? I did mention Bungie charging for it as a possibility! FYI You come off as rude and sarcastic when you reply like that. Makes your look arrogant and talking down to people. Also if you are going to try that route read all the replies before you post next time. Bungie has already walked to that line with character boosters to get to 25 last year. Not that big of a deal because it was free in TTK and destiny bundles but they DID sell it for money on PSN. Ubisoft already sells boosters to reduce time and get materials. Your faith that Bungie won't do it does have a limit. Would you bet money on it? Would you bet your life? Are you THAT certain? My whole point is I suspect Bungie will try to make money by offering to sell boosters. To be honest I don't think it's P2W compared to offering godly weapons and gear.

Just stating my point, my tone even in real life always come off as, "rude". It's just me.
Just stating my point, my tone even in real life always come off as, "rude". It's just me.
Lol. Well keep being honest. I'm not a Bungie hater. I'm a realist in my world view. If they can make money they will try to do it if it's a gray area for players. Many games do it already. I'm excited for ROI. Let's hope they don't sell boosters but just imagine buying a weekly booster that has an animation/cosmetic like these mites or the blue flame. Players go crazy to get all 5 colors right now. Some went nuts to get the Halloween flame skull. Just imagine how many would pay 200 silver a week for them. Just saying it's not crazy or impossible to think. For crying out loud, the US has two of the worst liked candidates running for president and both have serious baggage that it would take an army of bellhops to carry their bags to the curb!
