Setting: Ku Rudo Mountains Time: 2030 hours Character(s): Violet Acciaroli Title: Kaln'oir The sky was dark, and the blizzard raged on, covering the peaks of the Ku Rudo mountains in a dense sheet of snow, and causing a massive lack of visibility. It was a freezing night, and exposure to skin would cause immediate frostbite; as with most nights in these remote mountains. Located on a small plateau somewhere in the middle of these mountains is the Kaln'oir Village, an extremely small town with a population of only about seventy five people. However, this village was hiding something that they had been safekeeping since the dawn of humanity; the Sacred Forge, and the Hammer of Kaln'oir. Kaln'oir is a god, a god which the village was named after. It is said Kaln'oir was the one who created the Ku Rudo mountain range, and the one who continues to allow the villagers at the Kaln'oir Village to live, by granting them with food that they would be unable to get themselves. Kaln'oir was also a master blacksmith, and was said to have forged many legendary weapons that had myths of their own; Excalibur, the Sword in the Stone, which was said to have been wielded by King Arthur of Camelot. Egeking, said to have been gifted to Sir Graham by Sir Egram's Lady. And finally, the Holy Grail, which is said to grant eternal happiness. But these are all merely myths; it is not for sure that these legendary things were forged by Kaln'oir, and it is uncertain if Kaln'oir ever even existed. However the people of the small village in the mountains still worship the god to this day, and still keep safe what they call the Sacred Forge, where Kaln'oir lived and forged weaponry, and the Hammer of Kaln'oir, said to be His hammer. And while it may not belong to the god Himself, it certainly does have some magical properties. And this would probably be why the bandits of the Shi Canyon have banded together to raid the Kaln'oir Village in the Ku Rudo mountains, and maybe steal the legendary hammer. Trudging through the snow about fifty miles away from the Kaln'oir Village is a group of twenty-five of the most well armed and best geared bandits. They each wore a fur coat, probably stolen, snow pants, also probably stolen, and snow boots, definitely stolen. They had light weaponry, each carrying a simple, 9mm pistol, and some brought AK-47s, others gripped AR-15s, and some wielded M16s. Either way, they were well armed enough to shoot down the entirety of the Kaln'oir Village and steal the Hammer of Kaln'oir in addition to raiding the Sacred Forge. About fifteen yards behind the group of bandits was a single woman, who wore a ski mask and ski goggles, the hood of her thick, fur coat pulled over her bald head. The coat completely covered her left arm, however the right sleeve of the coat was completely cut off, revealing the woman's gunmetal gray, prosthetic arm. She wore a thick, fur glove on her left hand, and snow pants and snow boots. The boots were purple, and the paints were violet. On the woman's back was a seven foot long chainsaw, which had a long wire connected to what appeared to be a battery pack on her right arm, which was prosthetic, if you remembered. Behind the ski goggles were two, mechanical eyes, which had long been switched the thermal vision as the woman followed the group of bandits, careful to not draw too close to the raiders. They continued to hike up the mountain, none the wiser. Just then, one of the bandits on the side stumbled as he hiked, and slipped, falling down on the snow and began sliding down the mountain, approaching a massive drop. He gripped on tightly to a jagged rock before he fell as he yelled out in surprise in fright, and his stolen boots dangled precariously over the long drop to the ground. A few bandits turned to help the man get back up, however the woman tailing the bandits saw this as an opportunity. She gripped her seven foot chainsaw tightly with her prosthetic arm and she charged up the mountain, the mechanical joints surgically installed into her legs propelling her forward. She was soon noticed and the bandits opened fire on her, however underneath her fur coat and paints was a layer of ceramic plates, titanium, and kevlar armor, and the bullets merely slightly dented the stuff covering the woman's skin. She revved the chainsaw as she began tearing through the bandits, blood spraying everywhere, staining the snow and causing loud screams of pain from the woman's victims. The massive chainsaw tore through flesh, and brought a painful death to those who were unfortunate enough to face it, until none remained. All twenty five bandits had been cleaved in half, their bodies split in two, as the woman stood in the midst of the dead bandits, gasping for air as she leaned on her now deactivated chainsaw. Her fur coat and snow pants were torn and ripped from bullets, and did no provide any sort of warmth. In some places, the heavy armor had seen breaches, and it was too dented now to continue to use. The woman threw off her torn and shredding clothing, taking off the armor, too, as she traded it for some of the bandit's clothing—the ones that were the least torn—and after changing out, she shivered from the exposure to the cold. She guessed that she had frostbite, and required medical attention immediately, even though she had no wounds. Groaning, she put the bloody chainsaw on her back on her new, bloody and slightly torn fur coat, and she wiped her blood-caked prosthetic hand on the bandit's bloody snow pants. She guessed that the villagers at Kaln'oir had some sort of miracle cure to frostbite, but the woman wasn't too sure if she could make it there in time.
Open.
