Setting: Ku Rudo Mountains Time: 2030 hours Character(s): Violet Acciaroli Title: Kaln'oir The sky was dark, and the blizzard raged on, covering the peaks of the Ku Rudo mountains in a dense sheet of snow, and causing a massive lack of visibility. It was a freezing night, and exposure to skin would cause immediate frostbite; as with most nights in these remote mountains. Located on a small plateau somewhere in the middle of these mountains is the Kaln'oir Village, an extremely small town with a population of only about seventy five people. However, this village was hiding something that they had been safekeeping since the dawn of humanity; the Sacred Forge, and the Hammer of Kaln'oir. Kaln'oir is a god, a god which the village was named after. It is said Kaln'oir was the one who created the Ku Rudo mountain range, and the one who continues to allow the villagers at the Kaln'oir Village to live, by granting them with food that they would be unable to get themselves. Kaln'oir was also a master blacksmith, and was said to have forged many legendary weapons that had myths of their own; Excalibur, the Sword in the Stone, which was said to have been wielded by King Arthur of Camelot. Egeking, said to have been gifted to Sir Graham by Sir Egram's Lady. And finally, the Holy Grail, which is said to grant eternal happiness. But these are all merely myths; it is not for sure that these legendary things were forged by Kaln'oir, and it is uncertain if Kaln'oir ever even existed. However the people of the small village in the mountains still worship the god to this day, and still keep safe what they call the Sacred Forge, where Kaln'oir lived and forged weaponry, and the Hammer of Kaln'oir, said to be His hammer. And while it may not belong to the god Himself, it certainly does have some magical properties. And this would probably be why the bandits of the Shi Canyon have banded together to raid the Kaln'oir Village in the Ku Rudo mountains, and maybe steal the legendary hammer. Trudging through the snow about fifty miles away from the Kaln'oir Village is a group of twenty-five of the most well armed and best geared bandits. They each wore a fur coat, probably stolen, snow pants, also probably stolen, and snow boots, definitely stolen. They had light weaponry, each carrying a simple, 9mm pistol, and some brought AK-47s, others gripped AR-15s, and some wielded M16s. Either way, they were well armed enough to shoot down the entirety of the Kaln'oir Village and steal the Hammer of Kaln'oir in addition to raiding the Sacred Forge. About fifteen yards behind the group of bandits was a single woman, who wore a ski mask and ski goggles, the hood of her thick, fur coat pulled over her bald head. The coat completely covered her left arm, however the right sleeve of the coat was completely cut off, revealing the woman's gunmetal gray, prosthetic arm. She wore a thick, fur glove on her left hand, and snow pants and snow boots. The boots were purple, and the paints were violet. On the woman's back was a seven foot long chainsaw, which had a long wire connected to what appeared to be a battery pack on her right arm, which was prosthetic, if you remembered. Behind the ski goggles were two, mechanical eyes, which had long been switched the thermal vision as the woman followed the group of bandits, careful to not draw too close to the raiders. They continued to hike up the mountain, none the wiser. Just then, one of the bandits on the side stumbled as he hiked, and slipped, falling down on the snow and began sliding down the mountain, approaching a massive drop. He gripped on tightly to a jagged rock before he fell as he yelled out in surprise in fright, and his stolen boots dangled precariously over the long drop to the ground. A few bandits turned to help the man get back up, however the woman tailing the bandits saw this as an opportunity. She gripped her seven foot chainsaw tightly with her prosthetic arm and she charged up the mountain, the mechanical joints surgically installed into her legs propelling her forward. She was soon noticed and the bandits opened fire on her, however underneath her fur coat and paints was a layer of ceramic plates, titanium, and kevlar armor, and the bullets merely slightly dented the stuff covering the woman's skin. She revved the chainsaw as she began tearing through the bandits, blood spraying everywhere, staining the snow and causing loud screams of pain from the woman's victims. The massive chainsaw tore through flesh, and brought a painful death to those who were unfortunate enough to face it, until none remained. All twenty five bandits had been cleaved in half, their bodies split in two, as the woman stood in the midst of the dead bandits, gasping for air as she leaned on her now deactivated chainsaw. Her fur coat and snow pants were torn and ripped from bullets, and did no provide any sort of warmth. In some places, the heavy armor had seen breaches, and it was too dented now to continue to use. The woman threw off her torn and shredding clothing, taking off the armor, too, as she traded it for some of the bandit's clothing—the ones that were the least torn—and after changing out, she shivered from the exposure to the cold. She guessed that she had frostbite, and required medical attention immediately, even though she had no wounds. Groaning, she put the bloody chainsaw on her back on her new, bloody and slightly torn fur coat, and she wiped her blood-caked prosthetic hand on the bandit's bloody snow pants. She guessed that the villagers at Kaln'oir had some sort of miracle cure to frostbite, but the woman wasn't too sure if she could make it there in time.
Open.
• *The mountains are freezing and unforgiving, but luckily you spot a small concrete building with the lights on, which you can see through the window. You can also see some motion inside it, as the light moves around in the room*

  • The mountain was quiet and empty with the dead bodies laying around her, but something else seemed off. An unsettling feeling of being watch engulfed her as the snow began to move in unordinary patterns. Not far, patches of ice seemed to crawl towards her. There were fur endings along the edge of the ice patch, decorative fur, someone was watching.

  • Gulping, the woman turned and lowered herself onto the balls of her feet as she looked around the mountains for the strange presence. Her ski goggles and mask had long fallen off, and the bandit's fur coat did not have a hood. It revealed her face; her pale complexion, mechanical, dark purple eyes, and smooth, bald head. She appeared to be in her mid-twenties, however she was in reality, thirty-two. She had no wrinkles in her smooth skin, and her slim build made her seem a lot younger than she really was. Her cheeks, nose, and ears were red from the cold, and the woman sneezed. She knew that she for sure had both frostbite and pneumonia by now, yet she gripped the handle of her massive chainsaw in preparation for some sort of attack.

  • As the patches of ice move, she notices a body, the body begins to get up. Out of the snow, Haknir rises, he's wearing his ice armor, but he still is warn with the fur coating in it and his mask he has on. "I was planning on taking these fellows down, but it seems you got to them first..."

  • "I... yeah, I guess," The woman replied, smiling slightly as she relaxed. An enemy of an enemy was a friend, right? "Who might you be?"

And yet, something, or rather someone, was near the woman after she had cleaned through the bandits with relative ease, silently approaching the remains of the men and women that were slaughtered. The figure took the shape of a woman, her body and head hidden away by a suit of frost-covered armor. A dark, deep red cloth hung from her left shoulder, which was covered in a steel plate. In fact, the woman's entire armor consisted of steel, ceramic, adamantium, and kevlar, the chestplate of her metallic armor displaying the torn symbol of an ancient land, a crest from a kingdom long forgotten by this realm. Her cold steel boots slammed into the snow under her feet, the ice cracking under the woman's weight, although she had a rather thin body, as if she was malnourished. What was most peculiar was the embers rising slowly off of the metal and cloth, burning away at the steel, ash grey and red cloth. The visor to her carbon helm was lowered, so it hid the woman's facial features for now, although the helm was rather beaten and contorted, the rear of the helmet shaped like a jagged, grotesque crown of some sort. She had a rather warm aura around her, although red flames darted off of her armor's plating every now and then as she approached. Held tightly within the woman's right hand was a rather large coiled sword, 5'10 feet long and burning with red fire as well, the tip molten and steaming as it was dragged by the woman, slicing through the snow with no effort. She suddenly spoke up with a quiet yet peaceful voice to the other woman, tilting her head as if she was confused about why she was out here, of all places. "Hey. Are you...are you alright?"

  • "Mm?" The woman looked over at the new figure. Her ski goggles had fallen off, as well as the ski mask, and the bandit's fur coat lacked a hood. It revealed her pale complexion, artificial, violet eyes, and completely bald head. Her mechanical eyes lightened up at seeing the knightess, recognizing her a little. "Hey, I know you!" She said, smiling. "You came to my room a while ago. Your name was... Ah... An... Andy?" She frowned slightly. "Weird name for a gal. So, Andy.... Whatcha doing here?" The woman's voice was full of forced cheerfulness; in reality she was freezing cold and probably had pneumonia and frostbite, and had to get to the Kaln'oir Village as soon as possible.

"Eh...it's Anri. But you can call me Andy, I guess. You don't look too good..." Anri was actually rather worried about Violet, and not just because she was her previous best friend and lover. Hell, she would be worried about practically anyone's condition out here. Wiping off incoming snow off of her metal visor, the maroon glint of an iris could be slightly seen within her helm, seem even easier as Anri began to approach. "Seriously though...why are you out here in the first place?" She stepped on a bandit's body, suddenly looking down and kneeling at his already freezing corpse.

  • Shivering, Violet shrugged. "You've never heard of Kaln'oir?" Violet asked, a little surprise on her face. The legends of the snow and blacksmith god were some of the first things she learned of after she awoke without any memories, and she had always wanted to visit the Kaln'oir Village. "Well, I'm sorta a tourist.... Also protecting the village from the bandits coming from the south...." She shivered again.

"I haven't heard of it, sorry..." Indeed, Anri was clueless about the village's existence, even though she had been somewhat near the village for quite a while. The burning sword in her hands suddenly transformed into a coiled fragment of a blade, and Anri slipped it into her pocket as she listened to Violet speak of the village slightly. "Do you think that we can get you to the village? You don't look well. At all..."

  • "Y-yah," Violet murmured. She was getting sleepier and sleepier, and what she really wanted to do was fall asleep right then and there. "It's over that way...." She gestured southeast, towards a distant village on a plateau, nearly invisible in the blizzard.

Looking over at the village that she could barely see through her visor, Anri simply sighed, looking back at Violet calmly. She crossed her arms, but not before she patting Violet on the back. "...Hey...you gonna be alright? You look awfully tired. I mean, I could try to carry you there..." Anri had gotten much more fit than when she and Vio had first met, so she might have been actually capable of carrying Violet somehow. Then again...she considered all of the prosthetics Violet had, alongside her weaponry, plus how much Anri had on her at the moment, and decided against it. Only if it was completely necessary would she actually carry Violet, which it might be soon.

  • "I... can walk...." Violet murmured as she stumbled slowly towards the village, eyes droopy. If it came to it, she'd inject herself with her Super Soldier Drugs, however she didn't want to waste them here. She continued to stumble, dripping the blood of her brutally murdered enemies onto the ground beneath her, the snow stained with the red fluid. She was constantly shivering, and it was hard to stay awake.

"Vio...you don't look too good..." That was the first time that Anri had called Violet her original name, which she suddenly realized after she spoke her sentence. Still, she followed along, going eerily silent as she followed Violet.

  • "I'm... fine...." She went into a fit of coughs, collapsing into the snow as she sighed. She was sick, and she knew that because of that an attack caused by her disease could come on at any moment, and so she gripped her massive syringe that was full of her medicine inside the bandit's fur coat tightly.

"V-Violet?!" The knightess suddenly leaned down, inspecting Violet as if she was quite frightened, not knowing of her current condition. The best that Anri could pull off in a medical situation was a couple of miracles, and that relied on the sun being present. In the middle of a blizzard in the mountains...well, she wouldn't be able to do anything medical here, other than stitch up some wounds, something she didn't do well at.

  • "Aaaaaahm fiiiine!" Violet grumbled as she pushed herself up, continuing to limp towards the village. A few hours later, they finally arrive at Kaln'oir Village, and Violet falls unconscious almost immediately. They two of them were right in front of a concrete path, which ran straight on the plateau, and on both sides of the path are wooden log cabins, with snow covering their roofs, and smoke coming out from the chimneys. About 1000 yards down, the path reaches a perpendicular intersection with a other path the same width and made of the same stuff, with more houses on the sides of that. At the end of the path, 2000 yards down, was a massive log house, much bigger than the rest. The village was empty, everybody was inside. However they saw Anri and Violet approach, and they were at their windows, watching.

"Damnit, Vio..." Sighing and tired slightly, Anri began to heave Vio up with all of the strength that she could muster (which was quite a lot, mind you), and then proceeded down the concrete path, ignoring the staring onlookers within the buildings. She began looking for a tavern or something of the sort, or atleast a spot where Vio could rest. Anri just hoped that she didn't begin coughing and falling over once again.

  • As Violet remained unconscious, a fully dressed in warm clothing man came out of a log cabin on the left. He walked towards the two slowly, eyes narrower in suspicion. "State your name and business here!" He shouted over the howling wind of the blizzard, tightly grasping a 9mm pistol.

Eyeing the pistol silently, Anri turned her attention to the figure, speaking up loudly so that she could be heard easily. If she was to be shot, she could drop Violet and then just tank the bullet. Still, it would hurt like hell. "My friend here claimed to be a tourist? And...she said she protected the village. From bandits from the south. Can you provide shelter? Anything? She's...well, been trekking through here for a while..."

  • The man looked at Violet, then back at Anri. He sighed, and nodded, turning around. He motioned for Anri to follow. He trudged through the snow and blizzard, hunching slightly. There was a small limp in his left leg.

Anri sighed, somewhat relived though still rather nervous. She silently followed, only looking slightly at the man's leg before deriving her attention from it.

  • As they arrived at the man's house, he knocked six times in a specific pattern, a musical pattern–quarter note, two eighth notes, quarter note, another two eighth notes–and the door was opened by a lightly dressed woman, in her early thirties, holding a small baby in her arms. The woman appeared Caucasian, and she smiled warmly with blue eyes at the armored knightess as she motioned for them to come inside. The man did so, and Anri (hopefully) followed, dragging Violet (hopefully) ((Just didn't want to waste time, soz about character jacking :p)). The woman shut and locked the door behind them, and the man threw off his coat and ski mask. He was also Caucasian, and appeared around 6'2". He had a square jaw, and seemed to have not shaved for a while. He had deep, blue eyes, and short, cut blond hair, and appeared to be in his early fourties. He rolled his broad shoulders as he threw off the coat. He wore a tight, navy blue t-shirt, and had tan skin, strange for somebody living in the Ku Rudo Mountains, and muscular arms. He smiled at the woman, before turning to Anri. "This is my wife, Elaine Fureels," He said, gesturing towards the woman. "And I am Jackson Fureels. You're lucky that I'm the doctor of the Kaln'oir Village," He added, frowning at the knightess, as he examined Violet closer. "Elaine, darling, get the Warmer," Jackson said to his wife, who nodded. "And be sure not to disturb Jonathon," He added as Elaine walked towards the kitchen. She came back out with a large, 6 inch long syringe. She knelt down besides Violet, and injected her with the syringe in her neck. Her rosy cheeks, nose, and ears soon faded back to her usual pale complexion, and the frostbite was already fading away. "She'll be out for a day," Elaine said to Jackson, who nodded. Jackson turned to Anri, a question in his blue eyes. "You've got some explaining to do," He says, sighing.

It's fine, lol. And yes, Anri entered. And yeah, she was holding Vio the entire time XD. Anri crossed her arms, sighing in utter relief as Violet was cured of her frostbite, looking down at her before beginning to speak to Jackson in a hushed, quiet tone. She was going to try to repay him and his family sometime in the future somehow, that was for sure. Although she was slightly confused about the secrecy of the family, she didn't mind too much. "Well...where do I begin? I'm Anri, a knightess from a distant land, and this is Violet. She's a good friend, a good woman, truly. There was a group of bandits coming from the south, and she fended them off. Of course, she had begun suffering from frostbite and such before I came along. She wanted to come to this village for some reason..."
