Anybody with video evidence of contracting mites after already having some....
People are saying you can, but with out evidence, your theory is flawed.

Just did prison of elders with two randoms. I have glory and fortitude. One had glory, one had nothing. By mid match guardian starting with only glory had fortitude as well. Guardian with nothing at start had acquired glory, fortitude and brilliance. At this point I'm thoroughly confused

You can get more buffs as long as the person you are getting the buffs from doesn't have any the same as you do.

Not true... i have splendor and brilliance on my warlock and tried for almost 2 hrs to trade my 2 to a friend who [b]only[/b] had glory... it was a no go in both directions.

I'm not sure anyone has proof beyond experience at this point. It SEEMS that you cannot get more buffs (infections) after you've been infected the first time. That being said, it doesn't necessarily mean you had to get all buffs at the exact same moment. It APPEARS to be either that, (getting multiple buffs at the exact same moment) OR that you had to get them in the same activity. Meaning that, once you leave the activity in which you were first infected that's it... you cannot pick up any other buffs. While you are in the activity you MAY be able to pick up different buffs from different sources. I have brilliance and magnificent. I got both from one crucible match. I'm not sure if both buffs came from the same player, but I received both in that one match. I have tried everything I can think of (nightfall, heroic strikes, daily strike, daily/weekly crucible events, patrolling, crucible, more crucible, even more crucible.... ) to add other buffs with zero luck after that one crucible match where I first got infected. Also, there were definitely guardians in some of these events carrying buffs I did not already have. If it were possible, I should have been able to pick up the different buffs. Didn't happen. Again, this is just what I've gathered from reading different peoples'experiences. I hope it's incorrect. I'd still like to catch all the infections to benefit from the buffs they give. Let me know if you discover something different! Good luck getting the infections you want... I can't believe I just said that... lol

Thanks for clarifying that. I too, got two infections from my very first pvp March and haven't been able to get shit since. I guess I will switch characters and go from there.

It sucks, if you ask me. We don't really get the option to gather the other buffs this way. The problem is, how are we even supposed to know who had what infection(s) when we enter a crucible match. We're supposed to get the infection by killing, assisting in a kill, and/or picking up the orb(s) of infected guardians. That pretty much means it's a guarantee to come away with something in any/all crucible matches that you participate in! Besides, I picked up my 2 at the onset of the breakout. At that time no one (that I was aware of) even knew what this "stuff" was, let alone how it would spread. I don't even have a "clean" guardian. I made the [i]mistake[/i] of completing my Shaxx bounties on all 3 guardians... back to back... never giving it as second thought. Brilliance and magnificent it is for me... oh well. Good luck with your other guardian(s)!

I got one buff and then another at some point in the strikes I did last night. I definitely didn't get both at the same time.

I went into the crucible the first time last night and got 2. My wife only got one. Haven't been able to get more since.

Someone would have to be able to get another one to get to 2, and so on. I obviously have no evidence either, just questioning the logic and process myself.

THE first with all 5 could've been lucky enough to be in an instance with guardians of all infections, and picking up orbs/killing all THE different ones.

Or they infected one guardian with all 5 at the beginning... They seemed to have infected lots of people all over at the same time... Maybe one of them had all 5
