I believe you will need to be infected to trigger a quest after RoI drops. You may be "exiled" from the tower as part of the quest. I am keeping one of my characters infection free, just in case.

I doubt you'll be exiled from the tower. They are trying to keep it away from the general population.

Let me clarify: I'm thinking you'll be exiled to the plaugelands, and sent on a quest to find a cure before being allowed to return to the city. This is just a guess.

I actually like this guess. Definitely in line with the new common area and zone name. Maybe it's the reason they even added felwinters peak. We need somewhere to go when were banished.

On the off chance it proves true, I'm keeping one of my characters un-infected. I could be wrong, but everyone's clamoring to get the infection. It could be a trojan horse.

My defender Titan is safe. I don't think you can get it with that subclass. I ran nightfall on my hunter and got it like nothing. I ran my Titan and didn't get it. The op is probably right defenders can't spread it.
