Going external with Halo lore killed the franchise accessibility. I'm sure Bungie learnt from that mistake - you can't be in a situation where the player has to buy x-y-z other (non-gaming) products to know wtf is going on. Grimoire is a happy middle-ground alternative.

Which would be great, indeed. But Bungie are hardly known for their cinematic department, let's face it. Blizzard have had that down since Warcraft 3... Perhaps for Destiny 2?
