Logically speaking they couldn't do it till now. Last gen held back a lot of the game wether people want to admit it or not. Not to mention the taken king essentially fixed a lot of what was wrong with the game. Similar how to Division's 1.4 update aims to fix the base game. Of course i'm not forgiving bungie for everything or stating they are perfect. But saying "it should have been there year 1" isn't productive or really even a decent stance to take.

  • Stance to take on what? Lost your point here. I was just merely making an observation. That if destiny was released now. With the market flooded with other games. What they had in year one would not be enough to get the gamers they wanted. So by saying it should of been in year one. Tells a story of how they was aloud to bleed gamers dry with drip feeding of underadiquate content in comparison to games rights now. Hence the big move on the expansion and giving destiny fans what they have asked from the beginning. Not to mention if your in the market and want to succeed on all fronts you look at your competition. See possible pit falls and plan around them. Bungie did the same as other company's. But didn't take the hit as much as division because there was nothing else on the shelf. Now look at that how you want. Great management by bungie to bleed a cash cow dry to it maximum capacity. Or inadequate management or even incompetence, that they haven't done enough market research. Because this game was missing key features every gamer loves out of this. But now they have them.

  • I don't think it was their decision to make destiny work on last gen systems. And Bungie also doesn't have control of their marketing or release dates on content. That's all activision. And destiny in itself had a major split in development. Some wanted a very deep and immersive experience. Others wanted an easily graspable experience that anyone can jump into. we got the latter. I'd rather look at the accomplishments they've made and the general improvement destiny has gotten rather than throwing on a tinfoil hat dreaming up nonsense and assuming things. Because none of which you stated is neither healthy or productive. If you don't enjoy what they've done then don't play. Simple as that. By continuing to play you're supporting their choices. Simple as that.
