Ranked playlists likely won't happen due to the very nature of PvP in Destiny. I'd love it , but there are far too many factors (bad servers, inconsistent connections, weapon balancing troubles, to name a few) that make it a horrible idea... Hopefully, they can get those issues ironed out for Destiny 2 and then Ranked would be possible.
