[b]Background:[/b] [spoiler]Cassie was born in the rich part of Binard City. Her family was nice, and she lived quite a luxurious life; almost everything she wanted, whenever she wanted it. She was born a healthy child, with no disabilities, and quite beautiful, as well. As a child, she was kind, happy, smart, and helpful. And then came her adolescent and teen years. She began to take a turn for the worst. She became vain, selfish, and a master of facades. She knew boys liked her. She let them believe they had a chance, then shut them down. As her brain continued developing, she became a near-genius. She corrected the teachers every moment she could. Her knowledge far exceeded her peers. She was the best in physical education, constantly outperforming her peers. And she was cocky, too. Cassie was eventually hated by almost everybody, when she used to be admired. Then came college. She was the only one in her entire university to do a quadruple major, and she did it easily. Computer science, engineering, math, and even piano. But the year after graduation, when Cassie was 23, another change was brought to her life. In the form of a genie in a bottle, in her dreams. Cassie was unsatisfied with her current knowledge of things, and wanted more. She wanted all the knowledge in the known universe. The night after the graduation ceremony, Cassie dreamt. She dreamed of herself in a throne room. She was kneeling before a demon. A handsome man, red hair, black armor. Around 6'5. A greatsword that stood at 6 feet. The man radiated an aura of power, and commanded respect from those around him. But Cassie was sure of one thing. Even though she was an atheist, she knew for a fact that this man was a demon. The demon spoke to her. "Cassie Rellings. A genius, who seeks to know more. Am I correct?" Cassie nodded. "I shall grant you one wish. It may be anything. But choose wisely, as for every positive, there is a negative. A genius like you should know this." Cassie did know this, in fact. However, her vain self did not care. She immediately requested for all the knowledge in the universe, whether it be wisdom, or knowledge of magic, of technology, everything. Everything ever created. And knowledge of everything she received.... The next day, Cassie awoke, blind, and unable to speak. She was only able to hear. She received all the knowledge in the world, and changed once more. Because with knowledge comes memories. So many memories of so many people. She "remembered" so much death, so much pain..... And she was no longer vain. No longer rude. No longer selfish. She respected other people, and was kind once more, even though she was unable to express her kindness. She was humbled by the knowledge, but unable to speak of her change. She learned how to develop high-tech weaponry. How to use any kind of magic. How to sympathize with any person. How to do anything, really. But at the cost of going blind and losing the ability to speak?
