As chaotic as the dojo is, it does have rules! Now, they are well updated and should not hinder your time here as well as ours. Each rule has its burden of consequences, but a failure to follow more than one rule consistently can result in a temporary or permanent removal of you from the group and thread. 1) NO GODMODDING: Godmodding is basically when you make your character an unstoppable being by having him dodge every single one of your opponents moves, not taking damage from your opponent, delivering infinite amount of damage to your opponent and generally being a massive dick because your character is so over powered. While this term should not be used loosely, if you are accused of it, any other member of the dojo can peer review said accused activity for a second hand in the matter. ALSO if you give someone no option to avoid your attack in any way from your "Super speed weeb" nonsense, that can also be considered God modding(added November 9 2016). This way, it’s not just the other person being a salty sally for getting their ass kicked. No god modding is our #1 rule. Failure to follow this rule will result in temporary to permanent CHARACTER ban. So you can revise your character if they get banned. If you god mod only one time, it will be fine. Since we are all guilty of it. But if you persist, the consequences will be put down on you. 2) Don’t be a dick: Seriously, just have some common decency and don’t be an ass. This is mainly to others, since we want the dojo to be a place where everyone can have a jolly good time. But if you just keep insulting someone, or some people, that just makes you a total buzzkill. This rule is punishable by getting banned from the group permanently or temporarily depending on the severity of failure to follow this rule. 3) Give your opinions: SERIOUSLY. WE LOVE YOUR IDEAS!!! If you have a complaint, idea or just a general opinion to share, share it with the sensei’s so they can check out the issue or possibly implement the idea! If you follow this rule, you get cookies. Mmmmm. Cookies. Failure to follow this rule results in no cookies :.( 4) Thou shall not kill: Do not kill another member, or visiting guest(unless they are a dirty lenny) without their permission. This is kind of in line with rule Two. Always ask if you can kill the other person’s character, or challenge them to a death match. Failure to follow this rule will result in the opponents dead character to come back to life, shove that stick farther up your ass, and throw you off the dojo mountain. 5) Be a cool bean: Be a cool bean mang. You won’t win every fight. Trust me. A lot of the time you will just have to accept defeat. Trust us, it’s for the better. There is no punishment for not following this rule, but if you always follow it you will be more likely considered as a potential sensei. 6) Bounty on Lenny’s: Lenny’s have a kill order on each and every one. Shoot on sight and without mercy. Ignore all the rules when fighting a lenny, for they are the scum of the earth (Just like SJW's) and must be purged!!! HAZAAAA! 7) Sensei’s: Sensei’s MUST follow each and every one of these rules to the letter. Failure to do so can have your status revoked. 8) Don’t be a brown noser: Because nobody likes a kiss-ass. 9) Testing: You can join the group and participate at the dojo. But you cannot fight others unless you undergo the test of the dojo. Failure to do so can make you…umm…have the test…ya that sounds right. 10) R@pe and ERP is not allowed as content in the thread. You are free to do so in PM's. Also, if you plan on doing anything that is against a characters will (that is drastic. Such as mind control, the force etc) make sure you have their permission first. 11) If you have beef with another member, take it to PM's. No one wants to hear you guys bicker. If it's a serious issue, contact any of the senseis through PM's. This is a serious issue and has caused separation of members from us in the past. So please, just PM someone. Don't take it to chat. 12) (ADDED JANUARY 2, 2017) We'd like you guys to keep your personal struggles and issues out of the dojo chat. This is nothing against you, and you definitely should share your grievances with someone. But we do not want to have those stories put in chat. We won't punish you for doing so of course, but we will give you a reminder to PM someone your story instead. So basically, don't lug you baggage into chat. 13) HAVE FUN! WEAPON RESTRICTIONS (NOVEMBER 2016) All weapons are allowed but cannot one shot kill. All weapons are allowed so long as they don't one shot kill someone or something. Railguns for example; you can have them but can't make them insta kill someone. The same applies for any other weapons. Discretion is advised when choosing the nature of these weapons. Once again, if they break the law of insta killing an opponent then one should think about revising the weapon, using it sparingly/fairly or consult an admin.
