Personally, I'm all for a full reset. I don't see the big deal and the emotional attachment people have with their characters' progression is silly. Part of the experience of Destiny was starting from nothing and becoming what we are now. Giving us our old abilities and gear to start with would take away that experience in Destiny 2. Also, I think the only way to get the kind of balance that they've unsuccessfully been trying to achieve is to wipe the slate clean and start fresh with the idea of a balanced game behind their decision making. Let's just hope that D2 has an independent PvP mode this time.

Screwing over the PvE gamers for the sake of PvP. They will start you out like y1 but not have the same power weapons etc. The game will be over hyped with a lot of false staments like they have and still do. Me personally I don't find myself wasting my time to go through everything that has happened so far. Seriously though, adding an irreverent raid that should have been in the game a year-and a half ago? A COD stupid game mode? Still keeping the borders closed just change the scenery on the planet. This game that's built of that type of mentality has no future.
