Bump. If we have to start over, people will either not play destiny 2 in order to keep the character they spent so much time on, or never play destiny 1 again because they're too busy working on their new characters in Destiny 2. This is supposed to be a 10-year game, not a series of 2- or 3-year games.
Personally, I would drop destiny 1 since there would never be any new anything, and not buy destiny 2 at all because of how ridiculously insulting it would be to force that kind of crap on the players.
And I bet I'm not alone.

Edited by hiltonkush: 9/2/2016 1:50:38 AMDestiny was never called a "10 year game" and I love when people say this. Bungie and Activision called it a 10 YEAR FRANCHISE. meaning, the idea of destiny will be there for 10 years, and they will have a series of 3-4 games within that 10 years. It's written right in the contract I have the pdf on my phone. They are making several games with several DLC's over the course of 10 years. This is why I quit back in year one. I'm a day one player, the way bungie jerked around their fans really urks me.

They'll just nerf our shit so incredibly bad that we wont want to use it any more. They didn't think void walkers were getting used enough so they buffed them and totally destroyed sunsingers. They do this manipulative shit all the time.

I don't understand the Destiny was supposed to be a 10 year game argument. Destiny itself will last 10 years, but it was never possible for it to ever be on a single disc, and probably not even on a single console life span. The 360/PS3 lifespan didn't last 10 before X1/PS4 came out and the X1/PS4 won't last 10 either. It's only common sense to have assumed Destiny would be stretched out over the course of several games. They said it would be a grand story like LoTR, and even that is stretched out over many movies...

Yeah it was stretched out over many movies , but did the main character die ? You know what usually happens when you kill of the main hero in the middle of a series? Right , you might as well call it quits.

You are not alone, my friend.
