TL:DR 1. never use wifi, always use ethernet. Use Powerline adapters if necessary. Check your cables are not bust! This is correct but also common sense. Plugged in is always better than WIFI 2. Fixed IP for your console makes no sense.. a DHCP lease lasts 7 days and has no bearing at all on your speeds.. not even a little.. 3. Qos the upstream, or DMZ, or port forward (ewww) Most home routers will not have this.. if they do that is fine but please also explain by using QOS you are putting more load on your router as well. cheap routers will still have issues 4. set max upload on QoS as 98% you are capped by your carrier so this is irrelevant 5. Enable WMM for downstream WiFi devices (you can adhoc QoS by using the dual band WiFi channels) 6. Maybe, enjoy a much less laggy PvP experience in Destiny its P2P.. all of this only helps some in the end plugging it in is the big fix here. You are capped no matter what by your upload/download from your ISP. you cannot magically get more hate to tell you. Your router will be capped NO MATTER what at a speed... most companies put a probe on your router that caps it regardless what you think.
