honestly as long as there isn't a shit ton of interference in your home it would be fine anyway. Granted this guy is going for the "best possible performance" so I get why he's saying no Wi-Fi but wireless routers aren't new anymore so you aren't going to suddenly lag all over the place just because you are using it unless something else is going on there.
