I'm gonna need a ~100ft ethernet cord. Also, I just looked into my QoS on my modem..it's confusing.

ethernet cables can run for 100m without a repeater. Have you tried google for a manual? I find that a good starting point. Look out for the things mentioned in the article, and have fun playing around :)
