"Timed exclusive until at least Fall 2016."
There's your answer. At least means it could be then at earliest, or it could be longer. I don't understand why everyone is so messed up about this. Do you have Hawkmoon? Yes? Then you already have the only exclusive that is any good at anything and worth owning. Monte is fun, but not over the top, Jade Rabbit is not the much-hyped, never proven "low-key meta", as a Colavance's or Badger CCl can do everything it can do and more, but without having to dick with terrible stability or a chince ammo management gimmick. your average 1KYS is as good as, if not better than the Zen Meteor; hell P&T is better than it, and that's not saying a lot.
What else? Oh, do you like CoD? Do you like groups of unskilled dickless little shits skating around with Universal Remotes and running in packs with ARs, team firing everyone to death in .15 to .25 seconds? Do you like literally having no option for a special other than sidearm or shotgun? Hate scout rifles and pulses? This is the map for you, because that's the formula. There are no lines of site, there are no defensible positions, there is no best way to make an escape or move around this map, it's just a rush rush rush map. The gameplay always sucks on it, the largest fire team with the most AR and shotgun toting titans always wins, and you just sort of drift off, patiently waiting for the match to end while dying as few times as possible. Once in a while, you have an honest game there, but it's primarily just people using rush tactics and cheese to make sure you never have a chance to actually compete. Worst map in the rotation, wish it would faze out, anyone that likes it would likely be happier in CoD.
Don't even bring up exclusive armor, all armor does the same thing, it just looks different. And most of the exclusive armor looks like you created it by coating a set of fishnet stockings in superglue and drug it through the bin behind a fetish sex shop. The one exception is the hunter cloak, which just looks out of place, as opposed to wearing an eviscerated wolf on your head...I only like it better because I make chainmail as a hobby. Honestly, all the things people seem salty about are things that I routinely wish were something not quite so shit, and that's the essence of it.
Besides, you didn't pay for them, Sony did, it's not like you're not getting your money's worth.

Hawkmoon got nerfed so hard. XB players didn't get to experience it's full glory

Back when exotics felt exotic...
-
Off topic to this post, But is Xur broken? He seems to ONLY be selling Legacy Engrams and no actual gear for me. But I am on Legacy right now, So I presume it's Bungie shafting Legacy players even more than actually -blam!-ing needed until RoI.
-
You are correct, they stopped supporting legacy already. Aug 16th they even stopped third party data collectors (Destinytracker, etc...) from having access to legacy stats. Sorry man.
-
-blam!-ing really? I could understand if it was later when RoI releases, But this is just Grade A shit.
-
Unfortunately so.
-
I assume it's a defect, unless there is something in the code of the exotics that has shifted them to the Y3 systems. I'd be surprised if there wasn't an announcement about it at some point this weekend, at least covering it. Put up a post about it in Feedback with a screenshot and see if the powers that be will respond to it.

The strike is the only thing I really care about. I'd love to complete my Grimoire, but alas, Theosion and the dead Ghosts he guards cannot be reached by us Xbox players. As for the rest, I'd only want Zen Meteor for its Grimoire card, as it's the only one that adds to your score.
-
Your way off max grimoire so I wouldn't worry about it.
-
First, love your writing and the similes you used. Second, let us please decide if we want them. I know you don't think they are worth a damn, but let us make that choice. I rather like the armor. Third, ps paid for the timed exclusive nature; not the items themselves. Xbox user did pay for them as well as ps users.
-
If I could, I'd give you mine, as well as my right to own them. You are, of course, free to want them as you like, that's not up for debate at all. Never think it, actually, desire is what fuels the momentum of this game. I'm realistically referring to what will happen 3 days after they are released into the wild on the other side of the fence: a net reduction in overall vault space for all Xbox users, due to not wanting to dismantle most of the items, but not really having a reason to use them either. I used Jade Rabbit and Zen for about a day each...they are so covered in dust that I'm not even sure I can identify them anymore. Oh, I strove for each of them, I even remember where I got them. Jade rabbit was an exotic drop from an ultra in the Cosmodrome, Zen was an engram drop in CoE with friends. Was hyped for both, leveled them and learned to use them right immediately...realized they were inferior to other options. Vault. I want to use them, I still like them, but there's just no justification for it when other options take less work and give the same or better results. Armor is up to preference and visual appeal; I don't care for most of the exlusive armor. Why? None of it glows green and matches my Dance Machines. The armor being exclusive is dumb anyways; none of it does anything special, it's just a graphic. Again, you can have them as far as I'm concerned, just leave me my cloak for 1 week each month...oh, wait, I never have to put the ugly thing on again after ROI. GG, cloak, GG. And I will re-instate, the exclusives would likely never have existed without them being sponsored by the console companies. Even if they would have, we'd all be getting them late, because they would have been lower on the priorities list for the devs in the SDLC. At least the Sony deal got them produced sooner so they could get them off the backlog and focus on more content for all of us, and that's a net win. Personally, I'd give them all to anyone who wanted them, but I can understand the desire. We just need to remember that they might not even exist at all if they hadn't been paid for by someone third party, at least this way we can all eventually have them...why does that feel more like a burden than a privilege? I'm going to go dismantle another 4th Horseman now.
-
Honestly, it's not that I want them. It's that my deal with Bungie was, I buy this DLC, I get most of the content, the last bit I get in 1 year. Well, now that year is close to expiring, and Bungie hasn't paid up. Doesn't matter if I need it, they have a deal to hold up.
-
Unfortunately, their deal with us as players isn't terribly legally binding. Their deal to Sony is, and it's worth a lot more money. It's crap, but those are the cards we get dealt as consumers.
-
But their trust has been shattered.
