I just want to know what the actual purpose is for doing this? Surely when they do become available then destiny 2 will be out? So why would we go back??

They will improve the gear and use it as bait for pre ordering Destiny 2. Wanna bet?

That's exactly why they do this things, they know that most of the players will buy the games no matter how bad they treat them. Sad but true.
