Balthazar and Po sit side-by-side near the dojo relaxing in the late summer heat. Balthazar isn't wearing his armor, and his hammer is nowhere to be seen. Po is wearing relatively normal clothing with the exception of a large bag by his side containing herbs and samples of different plants. They make no attempt to fight each other, seemingly reverted to their original personalities before they were changed for the worse.
B: "We had a good run, but it seems it's time to hang up our armor and relax."
P: "You make a good point. Fighting has never attracted my attention."
They continue to watch the fields and villages near the Dojo in silence.
Open. Po and Balthazar have been retired from combat, but will still be here for story. Po has been reverted back to his original personality and state before I decided to change him, seemingly for worse.
*Cyan walks up and sits next to the two* Hey guys. Heard you're not gonna fight much anymore are you?
-
Edited by Pofeh: 8/15/2016 10:17:29 PMBalthazar scratches at his chin, his eyes slowly meandering their way across the field, then finally resting on Cyan. Po continues reading a book labeled "Botany for Beginners", the pages of which are stained and crinkled. B: "Aye, that be true. Fighting hasn't suited either of us well, and it certainly hasn't always been for the best." As he speaks, his hand traces it's way across his face, feeling and drawing along the long scars and blemishes from fights before.

Makes sense. Of course I always keep weapons on hand for self defense. Fighting isn't always good but sometimes it's necessary
-
Balthazar shakes his head, tugging at a few loose, wispy hairs in his beard. "We have no need for weapons anymore. If anyone attacks us, we can just disappear. Unlike you, the flame of combat burns no longer in my bosom. Instead, a wave of tranquility flows throughout, alleviating the urge of conflict.

*Cyan nods* I understand. I wish I could do the same, but when leading a clan you must be ready for anything
-
Balthazar nods, his eyes trailing off into the distance. The wheat fields below sway gently in the breeze, hypnotizing waves like calming rivers. A farmer slowly makes his way through the golden fields, harvesting the grain and sowing the seeds of the future. Clouds meander across the late summer sky, casting puffy shadows across the fields. Past the fields lays a small town, a bustling market lay in the center. Po can be seen sitting against the tree, reading a book whilst fiddling with what appears to be a blob of molten gold. It pulsates with energy, changing shape as he wills it so. One second it resembles a sun, the other a small flower. As he leafs through the pages aimlessly, the aged and tanned paper crinkling and cracking as it moves. Balthazar nods off, snoring slightly. As he does, Po's eyes droop, then finally close as he falls asleep next to Balthazar.
Fin.
*Sketch, Vorim and Sapphire walk by speaking in Sphirinian but then notice Po and Balthazar sitting next to each other and they walk up.* "Hi Po, hi Bal... What's going on? Neither of you have met Sapphire or Vorim'Tairn yet have you?"
-
Balthazar looks up from the fields as the shadows of the clouds move lazily across the pastures and small towns. Sunlight flickers through the leaves and branches of the tree they sit under, shining an uneven cascade of light over Po and Balthazar. Po continues to read from a book titled "Botany for Beginners". B: "No, I don't believe we have." He looks over to Po and nudges him with his hand. B: "Don't be rude, we have guests!" Po looks up, then waves with a smile. Sunlight reflects off of his face as his long, silver hair waves in the meandering winds. P: "Hey Sketch! Long time no see! I see you have new friends with you, would you care to introduce them?"
-
"Sure! This is my cousin, Sapphire." *He motions to a white tiger who is standing to his right. She is six foot three and is wearing a slate tank top and tan shorts. She has slate colored eyes and a pink nose. She has whiskers and the stripes on her face seem to act as certain features, like eyebrows. She is covered in white fur with lots of black stripes and she has a long, striped tail.* Hello. "And this is my older brother, Vorim'Tairn." *He motions to the other person standing to his left. He is five foot four and some of his facial features are very similar to Sketch's. He has a wolf-like snout, although it is somewhat shorter than an actual wolves' snout. He has a more cat-like nose and his upper canine teeth stick out of his mouth. Unlike Sketch though, his eyes are brown and he doesn't have any blue fur on his face or a blue tuft hair on the top of his head, similar to a Mohawk. His whole body is covered in light grey fur with darker grey spots and he has a long, very fluffy tail. He is wearing a navy blue t-shirt and grey cargo shorts. On his back is a solar pulse rifle and in a holster on his left hip is a solar pulse pistol. Unlike Sketch and Sapphire, he has a less confident and open posture. His arms are crossed and he is slouching as opposed to standing up straight. He mostly looks at the ground or at the villages, hardly making eye contact. Both his and Sapphire's Sphirinian accents are noticeably thicker than Sketch's.* H-Hi...

Balthazar stands up, his size now fully able to be seen. His shadow looms over his as his head brushes the lower branches of the tree, dislodging a few leaves. At twelve feet tall, he has to crouch down slightly to reach them with his hand. Leaves stick out of his long, grey hair, it's longest section reaching down to his lower back. A long, norse-styled braided beard runs down his chest. It's obvious if it wasn't braided in such manner, he would end up walking on it by accident. His face is covered in small nicks and scars, but dimples from smiling out number them ten-to-one. He wears a simple shirt and pants, both made out of some sort of animal hide. The shirt is dyed a dark green, the pants a light brown. His feet are bare, leaving large indentations in the grass wherever he walks. Po stands alongside Balthazar, putting his book away as he moves. He is dwarfed by Balthazar, standing at around five feet. His hair is not as long as Balthazar's, but it's silver tint shines and reflects the light that breaks through the tree's shade. He wears a simple tunic and pants, both a dull brown. His bag appears to be packed to the brim, it's contents books and herbs. He holds out his hand in greeting alongside Balthazar. B: "I'm Balthazar, your friendly neighborhood giant." P: "And I'm Po, the healer and botanist of the Dojo.
-
Nice to meet you two. *Sapphire smiles and holds out her and for them to shake.* Good t-to meet you... *Vorim continues awkwardly standing there, still barely making any eye contact, he has been trembling a little since Balthazar has stood up, clearly intimidated by him.* "Sorry about Vorim... It can be very hard for him to interact with people..." *Vorim nods but doesn't say a word.*
-
Balthazar firmly grasps Sapphire's extended hand, his enormous fingers engulfing her hand and most of her wrist in a hearty hand shake. When he lets go, Po quickly grasps her hand again. Funnily enough, his grip is a lot stronger then Balthazar's with his long, bony fingers wrapping around her hand. He gives her a weaker shake, the place where his fingers wrapped around hurting slightly. B: "So what brings you here?"
-
*She smiles although when their done shaking hands she just pulls hers away, rubbing it a little.* "We were just having a walk... What were you two doing out here?" *Sketch smiles too, Vorim just stays how he is, not making much eye contact.*

Edited by Pofeh: 8/15/2016 2:32:39 AMBalthazar scratches his head, his massive fingers sifting through his white hair. A few stray hairs float down, illuminated in the light like particles of dust. Po leans against the tree, taking out his book of Botany once again, leafing aimlessly through the pages. P: "We were just relaxing. Appreciating so-called retirement, if you will." Balthazar chuckles after Po says retirement, thoroughly amused by the concept. B: "That's right. No more fighting for us. We're taking a break from it all, as it's getting to be hard on our old bodies."
-
"Oh, well, okay... Speaking of bodies... What happened to that panther body Po? I hope you buried it..."
-
Po looks up from his book, scratching his nose as he looks towards Sketch. P: "We buried it a while ago, bless their soul. Actually, it's under this tree. Or should I say, is this tree." He pats the tree with his free hand. P: "Shortly after I buried the body, this thing popped up. I'm not brave enough to dig under and check, but I believe my switch to botany had something to do with it. He rubs his hand along the tree's bark as it's leaves rustle in the wind. A few golden-brown leaves float down, whisked away into the air.
-
*He walks over to the tree and puts his hand on it.* "S-So you think this tree, might have sprouted up because he was buried here?"
-
Po shrugs, looking up at the branches as they sway too and fro. Balthazar sits back down, staring back out towards the village. B: "The Dojo is a strange place. You can't really assume anything here, as there's always another more likely possibility. The body could be the tree, or it could be a stray seed that fell in during the burial. With this place, you never really can be sure." Po nods, agreeing with what Balthazar said. P: "We can't predict what'll happen here, but we sure can try our best to make it be for the best."
-
"I agree... Maybe being sent to this world in the first place was for the best..." *Both Sapphire and Vorim are standing next to eachother, silent.*
-
Balthazar and Po stare out into the fields, appreciating the beauty of it all. Sun shines down upon the golden brown wheat that adorns the trek between the Dojo and town as an old tractor plows through the fields, harvesting the wheat. Even from this distance, they can see the busy town squares bustling with activity, people like ants running around. The wheat sways gently in waves, almost in a hypnotizing rhythm of a calm seaside waterfront.
-
The view is beautiful... *All three of them have started watching.*
-
Balthazar nods, continuing to look out onto the fields. B: "This is why I love this spot. There's always a good view. Calms yah down, makes yah sleepy. I can't recount the times I've fallen asleep, just staring out into the distance..." His voice trails off as he yawns, Po looking up from his book towards the distance. His eyes glaze over and shut, quietly falling asleep in an instant.
-
Wait, did they both just fall asleep?
-
Balthazar starts to snore, and Po's upper body slumps down with an exhale. The sun starts to set, golden rays slowly disappearing as the moon rises into the sky, revealing millions of stars, each glistening like tiny diamonds in the sky. It's a cloudless night, all of the clouds from before seemingly vanishing without a trace. The silhouette of mountains can be seen in the distance, seemingly the size of a pebble because of how far away they are. The moon glows dimly, lightly illuminating the surrounding area. It seems that the best idea would to be go home, as Po and Balthazar look like they need the rest.
Fin.
