Destiny, The Speaker, And The Importance of Flat Earth Thought
Cant believe the summer is almost over. It has been great. Destiny made it great. I feel like every encounter with The Speaker only reinforces how immersive the game's story line can be. From the first moment you meet, The Speaker introduces you into a universe that is filled with an unspoken wonder. You feel like life hangs in the balance between light and darkness. To me, the darkness represents ignorance and the light represents thought. Thought, honest intellectual thought, is very much the difference between light and darkness.
I know that the world is Flat. But why I know this, and why I think what know is true, that is more important than reality itself. For example, science claims that gravity is somehow caused by a massive object bending space time. No one knows (not even the scientists) how to explain why this happens; yet people believe it, and that belief defines their reality. For example, believing in gravity makes it easier to believe that every picture from space is true. [b]However, gravity (the effect we see of things "falling") can just as easily be explained by the motion of the Flat Earth upward through space. [/b]
[u][i]I respect both ideas. I know that one reflects reality and the other does not. But I respect everyone that thinks the world is round. Thats because thought is precious: Destiny shows us that. Thought is light. And even the wrong thought, if you understand why you think it, is a light that can banish the darkness...[/i][/u]

The congruences you draw between flat earth and Destiny are weak and shouldn't justify this being in #Destiny. Last time I called you out I got banned for using your name. This time I've clearly explained the reasons why YOU should receive a ban. If the Ninjas don't act on this, then I'm convinced they don't care about the well-being of this forum. This post and all the posts from this guy are by definition "Disruptive" which is an option for reporting. It's easy to see this is a troll and it's garbage. Just because he puts #Destiny and makes a lame comparison, it shouldn't protect him from the rules.

Regardless, you can get in a plane and fly in a straight line and end up back where you started. So flat earth is wrong unless you have a quantum sigularity at the edge that instantly transports you to the oposite side of the earth. When the new world order arrives. We will have places for people with IQ's and skill sets such as you. Give you a job digging the foundations of the new temples and towers of science and keep you far enough away from young people that you can't contaminate young minds with your ways and thoughts.. You will be happy and content in the blind ignorance that you surround yourself with.

2 RepliesIf the earth was flat how can objects like the moon appear from the left to right continuously without it rotating around an spherical object ? Earthquakes are byproduct of the earths plates shifting while coming closer to itself, if the earth was flat wouldn't there be no earthquakes as there would be no pressure from a specific point? Because earth is in an axis orbiting the sun we have seasons, but if the earth was flat would seasons not exist due to there being no change in axis point?
