Since the earth is 6,371 km and the dreadnaught is 5,110 km. It could be possible for oryx to RAM earth with just the dreadnaught it self. So why do u go to saturn? Obviously Oryx did not look at all the ways he could destroy take over the solar system.
But then again it wouldn't be a game so RIP Oryx's Dreadnaught

Oryx had to wait to find Crota's killers to find the dreadnaught and face oryx for the throne of the hive and taken .He also had to wait for the deathsingers to give Crota his last rites on the moon. Also , you dont kill the war priest , the deathsingers, or oryx. the Wp and deathsingers have oversouls and oryx lives in the touch of malice's heart.
