Am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous that something like teleportation can be done twice before cool down, while a simple shoulder roll can't? I'm not saying nurf blink by any means. I'm just using such as example because they are so similar. For one; blink puts you in a far different location from where you start compared to shade step in terms of displacement. Shade step is possible to be killed in mid-roll where blink is a lot harder to have happen. Not to mention it's a shoulder roll! How in the *Bleep* is it more effort to shoulder roll than teleportation??? Sorry, but I'm really not a fan of this... Not to mention Shade step really just changes where you are horizontally where blink is both... You can go up & to the side where ever you want. The only change vertically with shade step is if you just happen to be by a ledge or something, which isn't nearly as often. Please reconsider this change, BUNGiE. Being an experienced "Freerunner" this kind of change really upsets me. It just really doesn't make much sense. My friends & I are talking about maybe getting back into Destiny for Rise of Iron or not & this type of change makes the decision even harder... I honestly expected them to put a cool down on shoulder charge before doing such to shade step...

I agree but blinking is a jump and shade step is something different...
-
You're not alone there, it's stupid the nerfed evade on titans and hunters and warlock don't have it.
-
Shadestep is more of a way to quickly shift your momentum. Blink is a way a traveling up and in one direction. They're pretty much unrelated
-
Blink is a jump ability. That's all that needs to be said.
-
Blink has a 3 second cool down in between each jump.
-
Well. Blink is a Jump ability. Shadestep is its own special perk that can be used separately from Jumps.
-
Because shadestep is in addition to the movement ability whereas blink replaces it entirely
-
If it wasn't for the grenade-tracking-cancel ability of shadestep, I wouldn't mind shadestep being infinite. Blink however does not cancel grenade-tracking. And as someone else pointed out, it is a double jump. The only double-jump that doesn't reset simply by touching the ground.
-
Blink takes the place of jump. Shadestep is extra

It's a simple shoulder roll ... at impossible speed, where you turn into smoke.

because then they would have to bring back twilight garrison to it's previous state as well(which i'm perfectly fine with). it is annoying when people run from gun fights as fast as they can though.
