I started playing destiny to learn the story and the lore. Then after I started playing for a week I started to level up and got to about 24 and then I started working towards being able to do VoG. Same for TDB and then the HoW. Destiny, as it's all about the grind, is a project. I want to learn the rest of the story and the lore.

  • I guess I just don't see it that way. But you make a good point. I play strictly for entertainment value (I think my <1 KD can attest to that lol) and the grind is part of that for sure. Hopefully they end up putting in more lore and stuff IN GAME for the people who really get into that in Destiny 2.

  • I mainly play for fun as well. My k/d can also attest to that. But what I find fun, is constantly being ruined by the ridiculous "balance" patches for PvP crybabies. And I love playing games for their lore and story. Mass effect and dark souls have got some of the greatest lore and stories I've ever seen. Destiny's story campaign is lacking but the lore is not. I'm with you though. I wish that it was in game. I manly just watch YouTube videos about the lore. Destiny has got some amazing lore and backstory and I love hearing about it and I love working toward being able to do the raids and then doing them.
