No. No sympathy from me. I hope they don't put in an ounce more effort or moment of time on last gen. They've already wasted far too many resources on it. They owe you nothing.

They owe you nothing, either. A lot of people bought the game on those consoles. There's no reason they should lose content that they already had.

And FYI, when you purchase a game like Destiny that is fully online, you are no longer purchasing the actual game, but a temporary license to access it. This is clearly stated in the EULA that everyone must agree to at the beginning of the game.

That may be the case, but that doesn't make it any less true.

And they've received everything they have paid for, and more with the April update. I'm not the one over here begging for "parting gifts". I understand that progress can only be made by abandoning decade old technology, and adjust my budget accordingly. I have no issue with spending money to support my favorite devs, and I don't come around begging for more than I paid for. Last Gen users should just be glad that they aren't being fully disconnected, considering at this point they are nothing more than an unnecessary expense. I cannot even put into words how happy I am that all of these cheap asses are being left behind.
