This sting operation had been a century in the making. Years of thought and decades of work had finally paid off. It was a wonder why they kept me after the first and second failures, given as intergalactic governments tended to be strict. The first failure was simply because of my own incompetence. I stand by the fact that hiding on the walls of his sanctuary, acting as a sniper during one of his duels with a gunslinger, and firing a shot as his opponent dos was genius. But the fact that it was just a simple body double had perplexed me for years, and to this day, how he did it eludes me. After pulling such an act, he simply had to sneak into the coffin after I left, but it almost wasn't so. If only that titan of a man was better at heart surgery... The second was orchestrated nearly perfectly. A dash of poison in the tea at that pacifist's tea lounge was all it took. After that, it was simply sneaking into his apartment, dragging him to the basement, and then calling in that butcher. The one fatal mistake I had was the simplest, and the one which haunted me for nights on end. If only I had locked the door, that wretched samurai would've easily been thwarted, but alas, I felt rushed. But today, everything changes. After so much time, I finally developed the perfect tranquilizer, the perfect rifle, and finally, found the perfect day. The summer breeze this day is too nice to not take a walk, and so, I have this delightful opportunity to finally take this genocidal maniac behind bars, take the bounty, then fly off to go buy some booze to celebrate. I begin to walk down the forest path, this wonderful Summer's day. It's too nice of a day to not take a walk. I begin to wonder of turning a new leaf, of leaving this horrid past behind. Perhaps go be a bartender, as I've always dreamt of. Always a new experience every ti- I fire from my perch on the wall, and the round hits home, directly on his neck. He stumbles, and turns around to face me, staring me in the eye. The he falls limp, and looks no more. I walk over to my quarry, then pull out a small device to inform my superiors that the target is ready for transport.
