I'm very depressed and often on the edge of ending my life. I've never tried to, but all it takes is one attempt to end it all. There are times when I'm just about to kill myself. All it would take for me to go over the edge and end my life is three letters: kys. Something as simple as that could help me make up my mind to end my life. This is not a case of having thin skin. Sometimes people are in a vulnerable condition. They aren't thinking rationally, they're too deep in depression to make the right choices.
All I ask is that you think about what you say before you say it online. You never know who's on the other end of the screen. You can joke around with friends, but you may be giving someone the final encouragement they need to end it all.

Edited by Payola: 7/5/2016 12:44:45 PMTbh, if you're that sensitive to things you read on the internet you shouldn't participate. Being a extremely depressed person myself I can tell you that people suck. The real problem is expecting people to be sensitive when they shouldnt be. Is it right to tell someone to kill themselves? No. Is it okay to feel so hurt by some random guy on the internet? No. I think you should get some actual help from a doctor, friend.

This uh...this may not be the best branch of social media for you to hang out on.

Alright... Last time I saw this kind of post I saw someone reply with this quote
There are 2 types of people in this world. Those who cry away sadness and those who laugh it away. It's okay to do either, but just don't let the people crying about something hear you laughing about it.
It's fine to joke about suicide, in fact, I've met someone who jokes about it to laugh away their depression. Life can be much better if you don't take everything personally.

Ok, what I get from this is that you're depressed and "kys" hurts your e-feelings. If a 3 letter word can hurt your feelings, you should just delete your b.net account and never come back.

Don't take anything that people say on the internet seriously.
-
Death is forever.
-
People used to be more creative about it. "Take a long walk off a short pier." "Go play on the freeway." It was accepted as "get out of here with that stuff there" attitude. Kill yourself is blunt, humorless and to people who are suffering from depression or have mental/emotional issues can be taken seriously.
-
if you can't handle stuff random people say online who you will probably never meet again. well than...
-
Don't listen those people they think they are funny but they are not

Have you tried turning off the computer?

Edited by gsRuckus: 7/5/2016 5:19:43 AMWhy do some of you egdelords think its so cool to tell someone to kill themself? You never know who you're talking to when you tell some random person to kill themself. I've seen countless people tell someone they don't even know "kys". Most people justify it by saying "it's just a joke", or "they won't do it". If you're one of those people, then take a look at all of these. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1088173/Teenager-commits-suicide-live-online-1-500-people-watch-video-stream.html http://fox6now.com/2015/05/28/teen-kills-himself-after-being-bullied-heartbroken-mother-pleads-dont-let-anyone-be-treated-like-my-son/ http://www.mediaite.com/online/teen-charged-with-manslaughter-for-encouraging-friend-to-commit-suicide/ https://www.theguardian.com/society/2013/aug/06/hannah-smith-online-bullying http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2246896/Jessica-Laney-16-committed-suicide-internet-trolls-taunted-told-kill-herself.htm http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3043651/Parents-teen-committed-suicide-suffering-vicious-bullying-Facebook-demand-greater-protection-kids-online.html http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/419885/Teenage-girl-kills-herself-after-internet-trolls-tell-her-to-drink-bleach If you don't want to read these are all stories of people who have killed themself after being bullied or being told to do it online or through text. There are many more stories like these. Your words, and what you say matter.

Anyone else thought he meant 1 kys, as in 1000 yard stare?
-
Get off the internet then seriously there's better things to do
-
If you get offended by what someone says online, I honestly think you should take a break from the internet buddy
-
Video game forums are not the best place for this particular post son.

Whenever someone says that to me, I replied: "Nah. You first." I'm depressed too from quite alot of things at the moment...
