How about we call them "new guardians", then we welcome them?
That's seems like a much better idea than being dicks about it. We're playing the same game and they're going to be there with us, so that logical to me.
That's, admittedly, idealism. People around here will always be dicks.
We can be nice and teach, and the good vets do. However, there is nothing wrong with some good natured ribbing and friendly hazing. Gotta earn your stripes. Plus helps to build friendships.

Agreed, the hate towards new players is sickening. We as vets should be friendly, when new y2 players joined I welcomed them with open arms and made new friends. We are all guardians no matter what year we are from.

Really? Overreact much? Nobody "hates" the new players. Just idiots, kind of like you. Everyone's gotta learn the ropes and Destiny is very much built to be a social experience. Now tell me, what real-life social settings don't involve people who are assholes? Get real lmao

I actually got destiny in late December, and I've had a lot of fun playing it. (This means I never experienced srl :(. I really want it back, since it sounds as awesome as it looks. Bring back srl bungie!
