Shut up meg. No. Snipers haven't changed much since the Launch of Destiny. They have actually been negatively adjusted. The aim assist values are all with the same range since Launch. My "The Supremacy" has 68 aim assist. My 1000 yard only has 54. Then why are sniper rifles so popular? First off they always have been in 3v3. Specially Trials. Fine round anyone? What has changed? Kill times on Primary weapons...buy almost 4x. Now people have more time to duck in and out of cover. They have longer to line up a shot because you have to spend so much time killing one person, they have almost 4x the average human reaction time to line up a shot on someone who is engaged else where. Despite heavy Flinch, they can fire at lest 2 to 3 shots before you can kill them with a Primary weapon. Snipers are fine. They always have been, they are one of the few constant in this game. PRIMARIES NEED A BUFF. When this happens the amount of special weapons will drop. Guardians csn be strong again...but not without their weapons...since bungie is just nerfing subclasses down as well. Aim assist can be a horrible thing. How many times Grasp took me off my main target vs my hawksaw is ridiculous. But it could also but what I explained down below. Shotguns have the same range of aim assist as Sniper Rifles. 40 to 70. Party crasher has 70. Aim assist is like honey. It helps things stick better so you can hit your target. It doesn't aim for you. It's about hit detection. If you have ever played Ouaji(?) You are moving it but can't tell. Happens in gaming just as much. When someone runs past your screen the chances of you wanting to move towards that target is high even if you are not aware of doing it. Not a guarantee but more reasonable then further nerfing our characters into kinderguardians.

  • Point 1: Bungie made this game, right? Just sarcastically checking... well then, they should be familiar with the concept of Halo 1. When a user is hard-scoped and hit (by any weapon to include splash damage from explosives), the user would then be forced out of their hard-scope and would have to re-hard-scope-in to acquire their target with any sort of hard-scope (MJOLNIR Rocket Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Pistol with the x2 scope) that they were using. Point 2: Bungie should take a page out of Gears of War 2... anyone firing a sniper round when hard-scoped and walking/jumping, the round/bullet does not hit within the pointed hard-scoped crosshair; more so around the general location of the hard-scoped crosshair to deter anyone trying to bee too mobile while hard-scoped as jump-hard-scope-sniping from behind cover. • Descoping is a horrible idea and would destroy pve. The only way this would be acceptable is if you desprint when being shot so shotguns couldn't run full speed. Bullets do not land where you point them when jumping. This isn't anything like halo besides the makers and the fact we use guns. The ability to equip two main weapons completely changes the dynamic of pvp. If primary weapons were a more viable weapon snipers or shotguns would not be a dominate force. But with primaries being ridiculously weak it's the main focus. People are going to use weapons that are most effective which are not primaries. If primaries allowed guardians to kill more quickly then people would use shotguns and snipers less. People think kill times are fine but go for the fastest kill time weapons like grasp. Deep down people want faster ttk that is why they use weapons like grasp or at one point doctrine or thorn and so on. I don't get why people think anything in this meta is OP. Are you year 2 people that forgot what it was like in Year one or didn't play in year one? Everything in game now is ridiculously weak compared to year one but people want things nerfed? But then farm for hours for a really "good" primary weapon with a fast ttk?

  • Descoping is not a horrible idea, especially when it takes so long to kill with any primary.

  •
Descoping is not a horrible idea, especially when it takes so long to kill with any primary.
Descoping is a great idea. Primaries do need a buff. This kid u responded to daiv talks about year 1 being OP but hand cannons, fusions, shotguns, and auto rifles and snipes were viable weapon choices that felt strong. Not JUST snipers!!

  • First off shotguns have higher aim assist to hep the pellets connect in a similar sense so do snipers but when it comes to high accuracy weapons with long range their should be less aim assist to compensate for power behind it. But aside from aim assist which even I know doesn't play a stupidity huge role but it does play a role for sure in the reason why snipers should be balanced not nerfed into the ground. Think about it, how many kids can pick one up body shot primary finish or double body? It's ridiculous if their was a bigger penalty for getting shot or trying to switch when someone close it would eliminate bad snipers and let good ones shine. Also no need to be rude just because someone disagrees with you.

It has gotten to the point where being rude is needed. The nerfherders have ruined Destiny for so many players. I haven't played in a long time. (For me 3 or 4 days) because of the nerfs, sbmm and horrible latency and lag that comes from it, and the overall horrible changes to Destiny. The reason people can do what you are describing is because of the inability to kill them before they can shoot one weapon then switch to another. Yes this happened in year one but was far more unlikely then it is not. It takes .8 seconds to kill someone with grasp. It takes about the same time to body shot and switch to primary....that's horrible. Despite my new character I have spent more time in Crucible then most people. And I hate it now. It's horrible. Every game as latency and lag. And they are forcing playstyles on people by constantly regulating how we play. They are more strict then the MLB is with steroid use... Seriously when people say Balance they don't actually want balance. They want something to be less effective. That's not balance that's nerfing.

  • Here the things I'm not saying ruin snipers I'm saying make snipers act like normal snipers. Also rudeness is not needed your just getting angry and for that I'm giving you less attention then the average debater on this forum.
