My only gripe with the warlock melee (and I will admit I never play as one, because the jumps just infuriate me) is that it acts like a shotgun, but it has no downside. I would be a touch more comfortable with the range on the melee if there was a small damage fall off. Say at half range, it does full damage, beyond that, 10% less. Or 5% less. I feel that the skill of surviving into full damage range, or the risk of doing so should be rewarded, the lack thereof punished. But I main a hunter, so I'm in the dark on this a bit as well. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this. I am also in favor of damage falloff for throwing knives as well.

  • Nerfing our damage would be unfair imo, since then it would be broken in favor of the other two classes. I see what you're saying about at Max range though; but what a lot of people don't realize is that our melee prowress comes from another skill called Invigorate. Invigorate recharges our melee completely, and makes it do 180 damage upon being meleed. I think THAT skill is what people mistake for our shotgun blast skill. As long as the fall off is only to the increasing range, and it's in a small increment, people should be content. I still think it'd be unfair though, due to some of the perks other classes get from meleeing.

  • And I could see that as an issue. You'll seldom hear me crying for nerf on anything, because most of the time the people crying are those that just don't understand the mechanics of it. I did learn something from this, and I will be content to throw knives at you if you'll be content to sling bolts at me.

    I have a lot of my own personal gripes about guns, but I seldom complain to the public in fear of looking uneducated and sore lol. Glad to educate :D
