You do realize that you can level up a faction in addition to the Vanguard? Both at the same time. You been wasting your time.

I know I started leveling up a faction ever since you could wear a badge instead of the class item(I'm a hunter so capes actually matter to me). But I took a brake from destiny since then. Also I like to role play a bit and I don't like any of the factions.
