What was the exact moment the Halo series became dead to you?

So,what was that exact moment when you realized Halo had a good run? Don't just generalize it to an entire game, make it that one moment when you said to yourself "Yeah this is -blam!-ing retarded". For me it's when The Librarian told Chief that ends up the entire SPARTAN program was barely a human creation and it was actually the Forerunners who did everything. Also ends up Master Chief is the chosen one God dammit 343i not everything has to be related to the forerunners, also what's wrong with making the Chief just some average but bullshit lucky SPARTAN?

It's just the part of the community that has is far more vocal than the part that isn't.
For me it's when The Librarian told Chief that ends up the entire SPARTAN program was barely a human creation and it was actually the Forerunners who did everything. Also ends up Master Chief is the chosen one
Alright two things, firstly this was %100 acceptable within the canon. This is accomplishable with something called a Geas, which are basically biological memories or ideas that are implanted in ones race. If Halsey hadn't made the Spartans, eventually someone else would have. Spartans are more similar to Ancient Humans than you or I, and as I said this was basically destined to happen because the memories sit in every human's skull. This also means that you are incorrect in assuming that the forerunners did everything, because they were basically just giving us the advancements that our ancestors had done billions of years ago. As well the Geas was introduced to lore in 2011, about a year before halo 4 even came out. Secondly chief isn't the "Chosen One", he just happened to be the most capable human to stop the Didact at the time. If Kelly or Fred had been in his place, the Librarian would have given them the same speech and the same augments. You could say that chief just got lucky.
God dammit 343i not everything has to be related to the forerunners, also what's wrong with making the Chief just some average but bullshit lucky SPARTAN?
Well would you rather it be about the Precursors, or as you probably know them, the Flood? Or what if we just kept fighting the covenant for pretty much no reason? Exploring the forerunners and bringing them back as a major faction was the natural progression of things and people need to learn to accept that. Humanity was going to go poking around in all those relics and dissecting forerunner tech, and Spark was proof enough that the forerunners still had a presence in this universe. As well chief may be something special right now, but as I said before, he represents the next stage in human evolution. This was preordained to happen, and in a few generations all of humanity will be as he is now. We will take back the position we once held in the galaxy and become something more entirely. What's so wrong about that?
kinda gr8 b8 m8
