I don't think they should be inherently more powerful. That would create a huge imbalance. Personally, I think they should reward the user for using them in unique ways or with extra skill. I think that's what most of them do (and why Gjallarhorn is gone). Dragon's Breath is insanely powerful, but only when used in certain situations. Sleeper is too, but only if you land crits and it's usually not practical on most other enemies. In PvP, NLB is a primary that allows for 1-hit kills, but is only usable if you're skilled. Same with Universal Remote. First Curse can actually outshoot just about anything, but only if you can aim well and use cover and speed effectively. TLW is amazing, but only if you use it like no other hand cannon. I could go on and on. Most exotics are wrecking machines, but only if you use them in unique ways. A weapon that is just more powerful is cheap. Rewarding skill is totally different.
