What is the worst genre of music?
I personally hate both Country and Rap, and think they are trash, but what do you guys think?

I respect almost all music out there, but I just can not stand new-age hip hop and rap, and country gives me cancer. Other than that I can tolerate it.

8 RepliesI don't like judging a whole genre as "bad." Every genre has some good songs, and every genre has some bad songs. In terms of the "mainstream" songs of the genres, I would say pop and rap, since the majority of mainstream pop and rap is terrible to me. I'm not saying all rap is bad - I like some rap, I just do not enjoy the stuff on the radio like "watch me whip whip" or whatever the song is called.

1 ReplyI agree with the OP, except the OP has listened to today's country and not the "country" of years ago. It wasn't always cliche lyrics with boring, repetitive chord progressions. Most "country" singers today don't even live in a rural area.
