Ooh, I like this idea. Always happy to have an excuse to write. [i][b]Tahlia-73: This, My Instrument[/b][/i] [spoiler]I am a part of a symphony played in a thousand instruments, a million movements. I look upon my instrument of volatile light and polymer and ask myself, 'How many have played this part before me?' Throughout untold eternities, this haunting song has echoed through the annals of time, played by any who would take up arms against another. My part is but another movement in the unending performance, but I am not a writer of music. I can feel myself shift against my will sometimes, my frame animating in manners I would not prefer. My conductor swishing its baton. I have played beside Atheon, who was/is/will be both instrument and conductor, my brass against his drums across the whole of time. The master of his own movement, but yet a mere cello in the orchestra of a far greater piece than I fear any of us can ever know. I have joined song with Ir Yût and Crota, my choir of six with their duet, singing of the sun as they sang of the end of everything. Upon the Reef at the edge of Light, myself and two close friends met Skolas, the Kell of Kells. Our bands played for hours until Skolas bowed his head and left the stage. I have even dueled with Oryx, the strings of my Light clashing against the discordant melody of his band of many shapes. I look upon this object in my hands, its smooth surfaces, its myriad parts. This, my instrument that I have played across the worlds. I wonder how many more songs we will play before our piece concludes.[/spoiler]
