Bungie and Ubisoft should learn a thing or two from Blizzard

Bungie and Ubisoft have poor excuses for banning cheaters, as well as good dedicated servers. They're too soft with them, giving temp bans everywhere and perma bans rarely. Blizzard announced that with the release of Overwatch, cheaters will be banned for life if caught. This, I like. It shows that Blizzard, unlike Bungie or Ubisoft, won't take shit from cheaters and will bring down the ban hammer hard whenever necessary. It might bring down the number of sales Overwatch will have, but it's all for them better as long as there's no bullshit happening in the game. And even though with the recent update planned for The Division (it's real shitty), cheating in the game has skyrocketed since the Incursion update and is the main reason nobody plays that bad excuse for a game anymore. Destiny on the other hand has had a good decrease in cheating for Trials and regular Crucible, but there are some instances where it still happens. They need to stop being so lenient and get rough! No second chances, find them and get rid of em (with proper reviewing of course). Same thing goes for dedicated servers. Just -blam!-ing do it! You have a shit load of money, -blam!-ING DO IT! But then again Bungie only cares about money thanks to Activision's evil little voice whispering in thier ear, and Ubisoft is dumb as hell when it comes to fixing bugs and shit, so I doubt anybody would care less about anything I've said so far. TLDR:
Just read it, you lazy prick. I'm not gonna spell it out for you.
• Yeah when Ubisoft said they were banning people for the incursion exploit in the division I just laughed. I did that exploit like 10 times and got fully geared in the first week( I don't usually do exploits but this game was already so broken) and I didn't even get a temp ban, not even a slap on the wrist lol. I'm not bragging or anything, it's just a joke to me when I hear the word "ban" from Ubisoft

    • I like how FromSoft bans cheaters, but the problem is that they also ban people associated with them...

      • I'm worried innocent people are gonna get caught in the crossfire. My friend got banned from WoW for buying gold. He didn't, I just gave him a bunch when he joined. He never came back to play.

Bungie has never used dedicated serves, I don't really see them implementing them now. Plus those networks are expensive, having a "shit ton" of money may not necessarily cover them and still give the companies profits, especially if they aren't covered under their contract costs.

            • Well, Destiny isn't on PC and neither the PS4 nor Xbone has been 'hacked' yet.

              • Yeah read about this a few days ago. It's great to hear that they're taking cheating seriously, shows Blizzard's intentions to make Overwatch huge on the competitive scene. They apparently have anti cheating software in place, to completely lock your game. A VPN will not work. This is great news, can't stand people who cheat in online games, ruin the experience for everyone else. I'm optimistic they also come down hard on people who manipulate their connection, to gain an advantage. They should be able to determine this on dedi servers.

                  • You left out the part where Blizzard took over a decade to learn this lesson. I used an editor for every Diablo and StarCraft and never got in trouble once. Hackers and exploiters will always be one step ahead of game companies. I'm not condoning cheating, those games got to the point where you almost had to to keep up, just saying that it takes a while for companies to learn to get rid of players like that.

                    • Destiny and the division have no reason to permaban people. They aren't PvP exclusive games like over watch is.
