If anyone ever played year 1, you will understand how godly it was to have an elemental primary. It made the Thorn exotic bounty a joke and made every burn modified nightfall your bitch. You would headshot a fallen enemy in the face with your Fatebringer and watch the other 5 around explode into arc matter.
In year 2, Bungie did away with elemental primaries. Why you might ask? Well because you only saw people using the Fatebringer and nothing else. It was enough to call itself an exotic. But I feel as though they could have kept it in.
How you ask? Simple my kinderguardian. You make RNG do its work. You must obtain an "element of light". This glowing shard is all it takes to give any primary whether it be exotic or legendary and give it an unlocked potential that only the weaponsmith could apply to your weapon.
The only way to obtain the Element of Light is to defeat Oryx hard mode (for future DLC it needs to be the Hard mode of the latest Raid) and it can drop on Oryx and it isn't a guaranteed drop. After you were blessed by the RNG god you head towards the tower and see your local gunsmith. You can turn this item in at any time of the week and will become available to mod into any weapon in your inventory on Armsday. On Armsday, the RNG-ESUS will take its toll again and randomly selected one of the 3 burns that you could apply. And yes this means there will be lots of hate.
What will be amazing about this though is that it's hard to obtain, you can use it on any primary weapons besides any primary exotics that already have a burn on them, and this means you can have a Suros Regime with any burn you want on it!
Guardians please leave any feedback you wish and bump this article so that Bungie can understand us PvE players that want to be gods once again.
