The rare times I start red barring because I can hear Netflix being streamed in 2 different rooms and someone else is online on our xbox 1, I watch what my connection is each time I die, and if I'm still red at the end of the match, I leave matchmaking and do something solo until I've been constantly green for several minutes because even if I'm not teleporting around the map, playing while red just looks bad, imo. The only slightly comforting thing after being killed by a red bar when, for example, we should've traded shotgun kills, is when I'm spawned in the same area, I see them running towards me, then randomly dropping because I my original shot finally killed them after a 30 sec delay. And to people who say their connection is bad because they live in the middle of nowhere or have the best internet available/can afford or the connection sucks because it's going through multiple brick walls, I'm sorry but life isn't fair. Rationalize all you want or make all the excuses you want, but a bad connection is a bad connection. I don't mean to be overly cruel or harsh, but merely stating reality. Though it does go both ways. We might not like playing with red bars and we can give an empty ultimatum of get better internet or quit, but life still isn't fair, and we still will be playing with red bars. For every person who does change internet, going from red to yellow or green, I'm sure there will be another red to take their place.
