Your experience is not everyone else's. I'm not saying everyone is like this. I'm saying it's a real issue, not an imaginary one. Have you not seen or heard the things that people post, say, and respond to online that has anything to do with women? It's not some crazy rampant thing don't get me wrong. But simply calling it a stereotype and dismissing it is not accurate.

 • Online is not a real depiction of what happens in real life, yes my experience doesn't account for everyone's but you exaggerate the issue.

 • You are correct there. In real life this is not quite the case. But I am talking about online and the translation of that into real life. Most people who say anything online about another person would not say it to that person's face, regardless of who they are. The type of people who are misogynistic online are more likely to have poor in person communication skills and will more likely be as I described to women in real life. In real life you are right, people aren't just openly harassing and verbally assaulting women for just being women. I think we were talking about 2 different ideas, but your point is valid too.

 • Even online you are exaggerating, as you can see in this thread people are pointing out that it isn't anything to do with the persons gender but actually their skill at the raid. Don't say that if it was a man that people wouldn't look at their stats because that's plain wrong as proven by people using k/d in arguments. Saying that someone might get kicked from a raid due to skill, not gender, isn't misogynistic. Neither is disagreeing with someone's opinions.

 • Oh yeah I'm not saying that she's getting kicked because she is a girl. It's most likely because of her stats, no doubt. That's why I said "I don't think this is happening, but...". It brings up the issue of it and it does happen. So I brought it up. It's not the causation of the OP's issue, but it is a correlated problem which deserved to be mentioned. I'll edit my first reply so it more accurately depicts why I was bringing it up. Like I said you aren't wrong, but I think we were considering different things, due to a lack of specification on my part. Great points man, seriously.
Oh wait I'm supposed to say GIT GUD SCRUB! Not use logic and have an intelligent debate. Damn failed again! Lol
• Thanks I guess, still though it is a half and half thing, it's not entirely related but you brought it up anyway. Sure it does happen but shitty people are shitty people, people are generally rude on the Internet, that's why the mute/block feature exists.
