Why all the hate on the "Wombo Combo"

For all you who dislike the so called "Wombo Combo" ask yourself this, was it really so bad? The nightstalker class was an amazing addition for the Hunter, especially since they lacked what is needed for a so called "PvE class" back in year one. All is good in this subclass but one thing, the grenades! The only somewhat effective grenade is the vortex grenade, and without lockdown it's almost completely useless. Using the smoke grenade (while sacrificing invisibility for poison) with the vortex grenade made an excellent and effective grenade for a subclass without one. But at what cost? You have to use both your grenade charge and melee charge, along with a slot that can give your allies bonus armour and recovery, or drop more orbs. To me this seemed like a balanced combo since alone these two grenades were almost completely useless. Especially in a world where both other classes have a grenade that can either one hit you, or cause some serious damage. Edit: I have no issues with Walocks and their firebolt. For a hunter I am also pro warlock, just though I should clear that up since so many ppl assume I complain about that.

 • Your point being? The community was furious that Sunsinger's Firebolts weren't nerfed, but you have to give up your all of your options to use it and it isn't nearly as close to a guaranteed kill as WomboCombo is. What's more is that it's pretty useless for PvE whereas Smoke on its own is great. Comparing melees, Sunsingers get a shield for 15 seconds on hit. Nightstalkers get a second grenade (i.e. a hell of a lot more range) that deals poison damage, blinds, removes radar, slows enemies and prevents them from double jumping. Can't forget the existence of a choice between Shadestep, the glitchy evade that breaks grenades and target acquisition, and Keen Scout, A.K.A the ability to see other players through walls. Combine that with Shadowshot being significantly better than Radiance for damage potential, orb generation and area denial (y'know, the things a Super is for?), why is Sunsinger the target of so many more nerf posts? Hell, I've already seen "nerf Voidwalker" posts and they were only buffed 2 weeks ago.
