I don't know, fish of ha ok is awesome if you use it right. Basically a point blank novabomb.
Titan melee also has a lot more range than I think people give it credit for. I've been on the other side of that stick lunge more than enough times to go 0_0 whoa. Also, you don't seem me complaining. I just learn from my mistakes.
Titans are very powerful, but that power is a little more situational I feel than the other two classes. I notice I change my playstyle up almost entirely when I play Titan in PvP where as Warlock and Hunter feels more like a change of abilities and more/less gliding more or less (which I like)

You did mention that FoH is a point blank novabomb, a super which you don't actually need to be right there to hit them. Titan melee is always beat by warlocks because of the warlocks range and their non-existent need to be accurate with their force-push thing. The titan lunge was added to allow it to compete in melee fights, but it doesn't like to lock on to a target all of the time. The power in a titan is raw, the defender puts down a bubble with a health of over 9000. Strikers hulk smash. And sunbreakers throw flaming explosive hammers everywhere. But with everything in a titan, except for Hammer of Sol, require general skill to use. Defenders grenades are junk, the only good striker nades are the farthest down, which are hard to use unless your area is enclosed, and once again, sunbreakers are excluded. I'm saying that striker's and/or defender's neutral game needs buffed, particularly the striker because that is the titan's subclass that's meant to be played for its neutral game. Defenders just suck unless you're in a nightfall or a boss fight or you're shutting down supers in mayhem rounds.
